You can write on sideloaded kepub, have it working on my Sage and Elipse. See the post from November 2 here: https://github.com/pgaskin/kepubify/issues/66 |

Also, percentage seems to be updating properly now. Believe in the previous one I had to wake the sage for it to update. (Or it at least refreshed waaaaaay less often) |

All in all the good seems to outweigh the bad with this update in spite of the continuing LED bug. Using the Sideload mode opens up a ton of possibilities for users who do not wish to register their Kobos. |

I can confirm it. After updating to the new firmware 4.31.19086, I can no longer use any sideloaded fonts.

Guess that makes two people. I only read kepubs and sideloaded fonts seem to work fine on my Glo HD. But I can also chime in and say that I get the same behavior with epubs (so now three people). Most built in fonts seem to work fine, but Avenir Next is also weird for me.

I deleted the system fonts. With the same fonts that I have installed, everything is fine.
It is the system fonts that do not work. This should be highlighted. |

Well, if people want to try to replicate what I did, I was using DomesticExtremis' EPUB Feature Peeker. I have an epub copy as-is, and a kepub made using kepubify. The kepub seems to work fine, but I get font issues with the epub version.
Maybe it also has to do with epub2 vs epub3 (the one above is an epub2)? Last edited by rtiangha; 01-22-2022 at 04:35 PM. |

Installed and patched 4.31.19086 on my Clara. I only read kepub.
Ran through Nickel, Bookerley, Chareink and Literata Book. All seem fine, advanced font controls are available for system and sideloaded fonts. |
