Mine doesn't have it yet either. I have the setting enabled in Advanced Options but it doesn't appear to be doing anything. I've even synced and restarted my PW3 multiple times.

My PW4 is still set to 5.13.2 because it never seems to auto-update, and Paperwhite 3 on 5.12.24 --- one day they may manually pick up updates, I haven't felt like sideloading them, so not sure if they would show the changes yet like my Oasis 3 is not. Probably not though!

Still waiting on the actual function to show up on my Oasis3 I updated yesterday. Both my Voyage and Oasis1 got it the next day after update. Restarting didn't work so I'll just wait. It will get to it eventually I am sure.

All this digging around in my kindles just reminds me what a dismal reading year I have had. I usually read 100's of books. All these books I wanted to read and still want to read. All these stories I know I will just love and are just sitting there for me to catch up. Which of course I'll never do, but I try.

I can commiserate with you on what a dismal year of reading its been. With all of the distractions due to COVID and the POTUS election this year I have not been able to concentrate very well when I do sit down to read. Here's hoping for a better 2021!

Yes, my reading habits fell down a lot too, picking up at the end of the year. Working from home most of the year, I'd figured I would have read more instead of so much less, but apparently not

I manually installed 5.13.4 yesterday morning. The option to group series was immediately available and I turned it on and then touched Home. I think it must go out to Amazon and download the series data right then because it took over a minute to go back to the home screen. I thought it was hung and was thinking about restarting when it finally finished switching pages. Then, it seemed that nothing happened. My library looked the same as always. Last evening, about 10 hours later, I got the popup that said my books were now in series, and they were. So, I guess there's a long download followed by a long indexing job before you can see the effect of this feature.

I have one series of 11 books where I bought a few from Amazon, borrowed some from the library, and got some on Google Play and converted them to AZW3s with Calibre (and fixed the ASINs so they correctly link to Goodreads). Only the Amazon purchases show up in the series.

Also, I have "home screen view" turned off, so my regular home screen is my library in list format sorted by collection. In this view I used to see my collections plus books that weren't in any collection. Now, I see collections, series, and books that aren't in either. Even if all the books in a series are in a collection, the series still shows up. So basically series are acting as if they are a new type of collection that doesn't float to the top when you sort.

Note that for Series Grouping to display, you need to have more than one book in the series.

If you have Library to show only DOWNLOADED books, then you need to have more than one book downloaded to show a Series group for those.

To see all possible Series groups in your library, select ALL (again even if book is part of a series, you will need to have more than one for grouping to kick in).

This behavior solves the issue I thought I had with having to do ‘2 taps’ to open a book that was in a Series grouping: if I only download one of the books in the Series (the one I’m currently reading), then by having Library in DOWNLOADED mode, the group will not display and I can open the book directly. And then toggling over to ALL shows the group when I want to see it.

How bizarre, it just now showed up. I noticed a book had a 4 on it, clicked it and it shows the series. I've never gotten a pop up announcing series like others have talked about, though.

I'm a big series reader, so this will hopefully keep things easier to find when I want to read the next in a series.

Looks like there are some series it may not work for - I'm pretty sure these 2 I'm eyeing were not sideloaded, but I noticed it's not registering with those either. Still, I'm liking the update.

My Home Page is still the same, so haven't seen any changes there yet.

My Oasis3 finally started some shows of series. I think it came in junks. Still I see no filtering by series groups. But I found all the series at the end of all the pages. I have sorted by collections and that brings up the downloaded collections followed by the books not in those collections. I always have "ALL"on.
The series are at after all the books not in collections. So I have 473 pages and when click on that number bottom right, I go type in go to 473 page and it shows all the series groups. Going backwards from there. But as soon as I click on one, it brings it up to front (page1) as recent. So they are going to be mixed in after a while with no filter options.
At least I found them all for now. Just can't click on them.

My PW3 still doesn't have any series info.

However, I just registered one of my PW4s (the one that lost the JB due to 5.13.4 downgrade testing). The PW4 immediately received series info as well as the pop-up mentioning series grouping upon setup and sign-in. I think I'll probably end up using this for my Kindle purchased and borrowed books.

After seeing this thread referred to at another website about grouping and catching up on the thread I tried it out after updating my Kindle. It does work, however I see an anomaly in how it treats some series. I would not call it a bug rather just the way it works giving the source.

For instance, I own many Star Trek books. Some of those books are labeled on the cover firstly as "Star Trek The Next Generation" with the novel name under it. Kindle groups them as a series by "Star Trek The Next Generation". That is fine, however in that group there are books that make up a series within themselves under the The Generation Banner so those books, although a series, are not treated as its' own series. Not a bug, I understand what it is doing but it is a minor annoyance.

I have an annoying new bug. I think the new sorting is confusing other sorting. I very often filter by Kindle Unlimited to find borrowed books easily.

Since this update and the series feature set in:

• Old books I borrowed and returned ages ago are showing up in the filter mixed with currently borrowed books --- the borrow count is correct in number at the top of the filter, but not matching what is shown. The book info is not showing as downloaded if it's clicked on, but it's under the "downloaded" tab of KU like it's currently borrowed. I do not have "show all" selected, which shouldn't matter anyway since these have been returned long ago. It's 2-3 books at a time and random. It picked one horrible book I returned unable to read with a horrid cover too of course to keep bringing back
  
• current borrowed KU books - some aren't showing up under the KU filter at all. I know they are currently borrowed and they showed fine before this update.
  
• Random collection folders are there now when trying to see just Kindle unlimited books. It's random and I have no why. I never had collections pop up before under the Kindle Unlimited library filter. One is an empty collection folder I don't even remember making.
  
• 2 books I've purchased ad currently have downloaded to the device are showing under the KU filter now, although they are not KU and are missing the KU ribbon. I believe these two ARE available on KU if you want to borrow them, but I purchased these instead (one is an author friend and I remember supporting her sale)
  
• I have tried resetting, changing from title to recent and back again, but no luck. Hopefully the bug doesn't last because it's annoying looking.
