This is just a gut-feel but I think this release may just be an interim aimed at getting the models Walmart plan to sell doing whatever it is Walmart customers will need to do. I've not seen any sign inside the files I regularly patch that support for all the older devices is being systematically removed.

You could be right. But I still want the ePub top margin fix and Kobo is dening that to me officially.

Which is pretty much what I was trying to say in my first post. At the time I wasn't sure about the older device, but I'm reasonably sure now that the firmware won't be released for them.

I'm definitely not seeing anything suggesting they are completely dropping the older devices. The Touch has been skipped a few times recently, but the development still seems to be happening.

Do you think there will be new firmware for the older devices even if it's not this one?

Can you say if there is firmware in beta for the older devices?

I am completely sure we will get updated firmware for most of the older devices. The Mini stopped ages ago. The Touch has skipped a couple of releases recently, but is currently on the latest general release firmware.

All my devices are on the same beta release.

I have been reading a lot of posts, and I have no conclusion if the wifi problem is general for all the models or only for the last architecture (mark7) models (I have an H2O edition 2 v1, so a mark6 model).

I would like to update, but I use the wifi to download the ebooks I buy in the kobo store, and my wifi password is very looooong, so no deal introducing it every time I connect to download

I installed it on my Glo HD (also mark6) and it's connecting to the Wi-Fi just fine, just as it did before.

Has anyone installed the KA1 Limited Edition version of this firmware onto the KA1 (the normal edition)? Does it work as it should?

My Aura One (not LE), with 4.9.11311 (patched, but same story before patches) has problem with wifi, often I need to give it password. Sometime I need to give it password again and again, at the end I always connect but...
They think it's fine this behavior so it's default with new firmware?
And when they will realise new firmware for Aura One nothing will change for me? Or may be I won't connect at all?

As far as I know, the WiFi issues in this thread were introduced with 4.10.11591. Kobo has been informed of the problems and are working on them. Hopefully, there will be a firmware update that will correct the problems RSN.

On my Aura One, at least, the issue of networks not being found and passwords not being remembered were introduced with 4.9.11311. The 4.10.11591 update hasn't shown up yet on my reader, but the WiFi issues are definitely there.
