Thanks. I had already set that. I thought Plusz meant the main status bar at the top with the back button.

Hello, a small annoucement :-)
Finally the project appeared on F-Droid ![]() I highly recommend installing the main F-Droid app which is similar to Google Play for those who don't know it. That way you will get notified about any update automatically. Note: It is not possible to update over an app signed with different certificate. F-Droid use different certificate than my local builds which I shared previously. To switch first you need to uninstall the existing ReLaunchX app then install it from F-Droid client. Don't forget to save your ReLaunchX settings to SD card (an option in settings) and then restore in the new installation. I may still share the apk via attachment but I recommend using F-Droid. |

Hi!
First of all, thanks a lot for keeping it up with this awesome launcher. I had no idea that someone have been developing it further. I've just purchased Onyx Prometheus 2 and thought that it'd be so good to have something like Relaunch for it. It does run on my device without root as a launcher, but after saving changes in settings it sometimes crashes. It took a number of resets to make the lower buttons appear. Otherwise it's fine. Just as a remark, on Onyx Monte Cristo 2 it runs without crashes, although noticeably slower. Now, correct me if I'm wrong, but it looks like Nook ST GL has a custom font rendering. At least all the letters on my Nook look way, way better than on Onyx in all apps (CoolReader looks good though anyway). Could you somehow add other font rendering, if it's not too much to ask? |

Nook GLP Returns to Launcher
I know that most of the users of ReLaunchX are on Onyx readers, but I've been using it for the last month on a Nook Glowlight Plus to great success and satisfaction. I actually have only one remaining issue that has been nagging me. Whenever the Nook goes to sleep (either by button press or timeout), it never remembers what app I was using, and always drops me back to the ReLaunchX homescreen rather than returning me to the app I had open. (usually AlReader) Has anyone else experienced this issue? I'm assuming it's probably a Nook thing rather than any problem in ReLaunchX, but thought I might ask here to see what anyone else might know. Thanks!

The 'unexpected' restart of the app upon saving settings is as-designed. It is ugly but I did not care to fix it as it is not that annoying and is safe. The app first save the new settings than it intentionally abort itself to ensure that the new settings are read everywhere across the app. It can be made better but now it would require a considerable effort to change it. |

No. But fontface customization would be very cool, I'd install one from my Nook then, it seems to be designed for the e-ink specifically. It looks very crisp and not pixelated at the same time. even with smaller font sizes.
What I mean is font gamma. For example, the CoolReader app. In the settings there's "font gamma", and this may dramatically affect the quality of fonts in the app. Btw it used to be opensource, idk if they have some open repo now. Here are some pics. Unfortunately I can't provide better pictures, but the problem is the following: with the default gamma even the pixels "inside" the lines of letters are not "maximum" black, they are dark grey with some occasional black elements. With increased gamma the letter does become a lot darker, and all the details that should be black, are black. This does not turn it into the bold font, just makes it crisper. If I set the font to bold with the default gamma value, it'll look dark, but still terrible. Ah, no problem. However, after two days runing RelaunchX's browser doesn't see the filesystem even after the restart. Just shows empty folder /(0). Apps work fine and filebrowsers work as usual. Have you tried the app optimization options? On my Onyx when I start the default launcher called "ContentBrowser" I can long tap on ReLaunchX icon and a special menu appears with the option "apps optimize settings". Inside those settings there is a useful checkbox "Enable Contrast Enhance" and another one "Enable custom gamma settings" which lets you adjust gamma using a slider. For the empty storage, looks like a bug. If you ever find a steps to make it happen please post it or even better submit a new issue on ReLaunchX git repo. |

And the version on my Onyx doesn't have gamma setting. Perhaps for the very reason of Android 4.0.4. Could you please share your apk? Sure, if I figure it out, I'll report it. |

All Onyx devices have 4.0.4 Android. The gamma setting is a new thing. It must be added in the latest firmware update 1.8.2. I have just figured out what it does - it is very useful for outdoors reading with a strong sunlight. Increasing the gamma changes white background into gray. |
