Justin Hayward does some of the vocals.

I have the CD of that at home (and originally recorded it off the radio when it came out)... very entertaining! Wonderful use of musical themes, and the narration was top-notch. I'd recommend it to all WotW fans.

Hm. I don't brag about not eating meat. Or eating bananas, or any other vegetables. It doesn't bother me to eat at a table with other people who are eating meat, and I had nothing against Ricky's post about her meal. Generally my vegetarianism only comes up if someone invites me to a meal (and if I haven't had a chance to pre-warn them, I've been known to just eat what's on my plate, though I think I'd be pushing my luck if I tried that with beef these days.)

It's always easier to remember the obnoxious examples of any given category. I wonder how many people we know who are vegetarians and don't make a point of rubbing it in to everyone they meet?

I don't rub my meat... let me start that sentence again... I only quoted the comedian because the conversation made me recall his routine. Very funny. I like vegetarians. They have a subtle, delicate flavor.

I dunno, with the killer tomatoes, spinach, etc., in the past year or so, it seems like the salads are beginning to fight back also. They grow lettuce in big high density feedlots of hydroponics. Then it's on to the vegavatoir to be butchered and then into plastic bags to sell as pre-cut salad. Seems sort of cruel to me.

(You know I'm kidding around this morning, right?)

These days, I'm not sure you can rely on cows being vegetarians.

See "Mad cow disease" and it's origins for more on what I'm talking about.

And of course chickens are cannibals, so they don't count.
