Thanks ebooker, great tips!
I am not finding something labeled apex monochrome in the play store, would you mind linking the one you use here? |

Thanks ebooker!
By the way, where do you find the option to disable the default behavior for screen backlight? Also, how do you like the t68 compared to the afterglow 2? I went for the latter because I had read many negative reviews about various things with the t68 (battery, touch screen) but it sounds like with your tweaks maybe that's not a problem? |

I hope this product has a better touch screen than the T-68.... T-68 screen was like a giant unresponsive and very inaccurate button (and I bought mine in Oct. with updated firmware, returned). Still using my Boyue until someone gives a demonstration (this unit) of a working touchscreen with good refresh and scrolling like the Boyue t-62.

I haven't tried either of those other models, but the screen works alright for me. I would say pretty comparable to my old nook simple touch.
As far as the boyue goes, if I am rememvering my research correctly I am not sure why you'd switch. Boyue has superior storage space and battery capacity. I ordered the afterglow2 BC I liked the aesthetics much more and it was sold and fulfilled thru amazon, got it in 2 days and with assurance of good customer service as opposed to ~3-5 week shipping from China. But thats just a convenience thing and you alrdy have yours in hand so I'd stay with it! |

Is there any tool that can help remap the hardware buttons on the afterglow 2?
My favored ereadr app doesnt seem to recognize the right and left buttons, but I think if I could modify them to volume button inputs all would be good. Any suggestions? |

Once rooted, the firmware updates still works?

Could someone do me a favor and post a screenshot, or just type out the relevant info, regarding the firmware used in the Afterglow 2? (specifically the version sold by Amazon, via Arta Tech)
I messed some things up with the Onyx Launcher by following some of the instructions for debloating the T68, which caused the OnyxLauncher has stopped window to pop up each time I went to the home screen. Annoying, but I had ADW launcher on there so not a big deal. I went to factory reset to fix it up but unfortunately all it will do now is boot into home screen and in Polish say unfortunately, the onyx launcher has stopped. And now I can't do anything with it! I tried downloading the C67 firmware from here (http://www.onyx-international.com/in...1-6-5-20141104), but apparently that is not correct as when I try to install it from my SD card it says assert failed: getprop)"ro.product.device") == "C67ML" || getprop("ro.build.product") == "C67ML" So I'm assuming the version of the Afterglow 2 being sold on Amazon does not match up exactly with the C67ML firmware being distributed by Onyx International (even though when I plug in to my computer what shows up is "Arta Tech C67ML"). Anyways, long story short, if someone who also has an afterglow 2 from amazon could go to "About device" under settings and take a screenshot, or post the text from build info (example from screenshot of c65 in manual below), then I would have a better idea of what to look for! Thanks! ![]() |

Your device has Android 2.3.1? According to some reviewers on Amazon, theirs has Android 4.2.2. Can anyone confirm what Android version they have? |

Ag2 is 4.2.2 as cellaris says. I simply posted that screenshot BC it is the one in the online manual and used it as a placeholder to demonstrate where to find the information I was looking for.
Now I just need to get the firmware which I can't find online, hopefully either artatech will link it to me or someone here can pull it off their ag2 and post it. |
