Yes, unless you have a US account, you won't get Goodreads integration.

I decided not to upgrade. I have my fav. font, I can't be bothered to star/unstar whatever and convert my books AGAIN just to embed fonts of my choice. <insert big exaggeration here> it starts to resemble nuclear physics. Part of the features as I understand is not available to non US people. And frankly all I need I already have and I am fine with it. I am not interested / don't even want to know.

For me, my favorite "feature" was the fact that I no longer randomly get a page flip forward & back when I'm trying to turn the "page". I used to get that about 5% of the time, but I haven't seen it even once since the upgrade.

(though yesterday I did see it do a weird triple flip, but it ended up in the right spot, so it's like they added some code to detect that it flipped back and fixes it) |

and the more I read about the change the happier I didn't upgrade. I was sideloading anyway so no difference.

I must admit everything about the Paperwhite, apart for actually reading a book, is getting more annoying now. If I could combine Amazon's store, customer service and the tech reliably with the Kobo ereaders things would be perfect.

I have two main ereaders that I use regularly, a PW1 and a Kobo Aura, and I'm insured with the PW for another 18 months so I am sorted until at least the end of 2015. Once I need a new e-ink ereader I have no idea what I'd get as the assumption I'd always have a Kindle is starting to wane. |

Cloud Collections and Fonts are my two bugbears.

I sideload via USB now to get an embedded font as I prefer not to use the fonts that Amazon load on the Paperwhite. Every time I add a new book or move it into a collection I get pop up messages, at least two for each book, it's a real pain. I don't want to see hubby's books so all his collections are unstarred. I use an iPad mini as well and nothing syncs properly between iOS app and our kindles. I have duplicate collections on the iPad. Empty collections where I actually sideload on the Paperwhite but the collection appears in the Kindle app. It's all getting messy now and tbh I doubt I'd buy another Kindle unless something substantially changes. |

I'm just avoiding any issues by using Calibre plugboards instead of collections, but I'm not really that bothered about using collections. I don't store a lot of books on my Kindle, nor do I sync between devices (I use my PW & a Sony 350 so 'sync' manually!), but that's not really an answer for many people.

Even though Amazon have tried to improve things, what they've done with collections is really a pain, and a bit like Josieb1, as much as I like my PW2, I'm not sure I'd replace it with another Kindle in future unless there are changes. |

As another 'data point', I never had much use for collections prior to Cloud Collections, because they didn't sync between devices and were far too much work to maintain, and they just created 'clutter'. I like the changes, as I switch between devices frequently and it makes it super easy to do that. I just have a handful of collections so I can track what I'm currently reading, what I have not read, and what year I finish reading something. They work perfectly for my requirements.

The available fonts are plenty for me, and with the update, navigation is bliss. I'd like to see better typography (optional hyphenation, orphan control, consistent line spacing) but my expectations for that are pretty low (publishers aren't exactly leading the charge). Software-wise the only major thing I'd like to see is better way to manage and export annotations. myclippings.txt and kindle.amazon.com are not at all adequate. What would be nice is an additional Home screen option to share or save or email annotations/highlights for a selected book. I don't see myself getting another eink device, unless something breaks, or there's some major improvement with the technology (which seems unlikely). OTOH I mostly prefer to read on my PW1 because it is generally more pleasant to read on than the other devices I also use. |

Luckily I only have one collection. I just use one called 'read' and then everything else on my Kindle is either being currently read or in the queue. I appreciate it must be very frustrating for those who have lovingly created their many collections with the current situation. Can't stand that star, personally. |

Well, for such reasons, I stayed with my K3 and it had been way better for me than KT or KPW.

			I love the plastic screen.

I guess will not stay good the glass screen. I will change when launch one with bigger screen. If the same size, i continue stay happy with my KPW2. |
