Two new little bugs I have noticed:

1. When I sync I get a "Get Started Add a book to your library" tile added to my home screen. I can dismiss it, but it comes back every time I sync.

2. Edit: The second bug must have been my imagination, bookstore search works fine now.

I can't download the zip files, Winzip keeps telling me the archives ended unexpectedly

I don't know what went wrong as I tried again and all was OK : I'm updating my Glo and my Aura

As well as the option in settings for updates/notifications from kobo is ticked on when you turn it off.

OOps, should have posted this https://www.mobileread.com/forums/sho...d.php?t=228375 here.

OT:And what's the [PowerOptions] "SleepAccessoryEnabled=False" in the "Kobo eReader.conf file? It predates 3.1.0 but I just noticed it.

Luck;
Ken

I was brave and let my Aura update to 3.1, so far so good.

Does anyone if I can know remove the thumbnail of a kobo bought book from my library without removing it from the Kobo Desktop?

And is there a way to get purchased books back into my library on the Kobo Desktop if they've been deleted?

No luck with my wishes for 3.1.0.

Pdf landscape mode, dictionary return to book menu, (and widows and orphans) and more will have to wait for better times...

A mixture between educated and wild guess: Sleep Cover support switch?

You can find Sleep Cover toggle in "Settings" > "Light, sleep, and power" (at least in AuraHD)

I found the answer to my first question, I was able to switch off showing non downloaded books within Library management.

It looks like the 3.1.0 firmware doesn't include a "slideshow" folder. I replaced the .png files in the official Kobo Dragon EN slideshow with my own and they look good on my AuraHD. Fortunately, I had a backup of the slideshow folder with my files in it, and adding that to .kobo was all that was needed to get the demo mode slideshow working again.

The FW 3.1.0 KoboRoot.tgz has a slideshow folder but it didn't put it in my .kobo directory.
Not that it would have worked as it only has "kraken", "pixie", and "trilogy" folders, no dragon folder. The new Aura could use the images in the "kraken" folder, as they have the same display size, IIRC.

Luck;
Ken

I've just started to load books on an SD card, side loaded books, how did it use to handle them?

What handling are you talking about? The two bugs with reading epubs on the SD card and sleep have been fixed. Other than that, I don't think there have been any changes.

Perhaps a reference to the delay in starting up when an uSD card with a large number of books on it was inserted? I still get the library tile showing all the books on the uSD card as having been added after a power cycle but the startup delay is (mostly) gone.

Regards,
David

I didn't think of the delay. I don't have much on my SD card at the moment, so I haven't noticed it at all. But, I did have 1200 books on it until recently, and I didn't notice a start up delay. As to the tile, it is annoying and still there.
