Yeah because I think Amazon wants to make Money and to do that they have to draw in app developers. So I don't see them moving away from Android anytime soon. I do think we see some revamping to the app store soon. They've already remove the compatibility device listing from the app page which makes me think we see even more changes very soon.

If anyone is looking for some cheap cases for the HDX 7 I found these on XDA

Poetic Slimline Case $2.95 + free shipping

Poetic GraphGrip Case $2.95 + free shipping

I guess the Nexus version is a popular choice on XDA but at those prices there really no risk. I ordered the Slimline as a backup case as I have decided to give the origami case a try as I do not like how the Belkin looks on the bottom which is extremely important seeing I will be holding it.

I was going to order the GraphGrip but read the Nexus version had a really bad smell and did not need the headache literally.

Anyone think they will ship early this year? I know the 32gb shipped earlier than expected last year. If I remember correctly it was due out October 24th, but I received it on the 17th or 18th of October.

On the Amazon Kindle forum someone has gotten a serial number and their credit card has been charged and will be receiving their kindle 10/12.

My Paperwhite 2013 had a scheduled delivery date of Oct 2. It was shipped Sep 30 and arrived Oct 1.

My HDX 2013 has a scheduled delivery date of Oct 18. If it follows the same pattern, I should get it on Oct 17. It still does not show a serial number on "Manage Your Devices."

Anyone see a demo at Best Buy? A post on xda a few days ago stated they saw one at their local store. Guess I will do a quick stop today since it is not far away just to see but it will probably be in that demo mode I hate!

Curious in the picture and sound quality as well as wi-fi speed. Time will tell.

Has anyone received a notice that their Kindle Fire HDX has been shipped yet? Mine still says "Not Yet Shipped" and I have a delivery estimate of Oct 18.

Nope I haven't either, I know some people received the 16gb model on Saturday and Monday. But I haven'tn heard of anyone receiving a 32gb or 64 gb model yet.

Coming from Indiana of all places says it will be here Friday.

I expected earlier than that but forgot about the holiday.

My HDX is on it's way!

They used to ship covers before units. How much memory did you buy? I ordered 32 Gb.

The 16GB. I don't need more than 8GB really but it's nice to have a little extra.
