I've had my ereader for over a year now, and I still really like to use both formats.
![]() I get paper books from the library quite frequently, since that's free and has a lot of stuff that is unavailable as an ebook, and it's also fun to just browse the shelves; I buy second-hand paper books when I find a particularly good deal on something I want to read; and I buy new signed hardcovers (if I can find them) of my absolute favorite books after having finished them - usually no more than a couple times a year. |

That being said, to answer the op's question, the last paper books I got were some books on Egypt for the kids, and mil's christmas present book, and some pb novels from the new GoodWill. [note to self: do not go to newly opened thrift shops, they are crowded and noisy] |

Yesterday I bought the entire Sarah Strohmeyer's Bubbles Mystery series off of ebay. I prefer ebooks but I do buy paperbacks if the ebook isn't available or if the ebooks is outrageously priced. I read the Stephanie Plum series in paperback after book 4 as it was just cheaper that way.

It might. Charts/diagrams can be rough when they are designed with a 8x10 or whatever page in mind. I have not tried the Nook Study, and cant afford the iPad so I do not know how they impact it.

I think for serious and professional cases paper will stay forever. Digital can be used for fun reading or for just spending time on the way somewhere. Only paper gives a options and flexibility digital haven't got yet.

I still buy paper when I'm searching for a specific title and it's not available in digital (or it's a big honking coffee table book!), but for most reading and pretty much all fiction, I stick with digital. I just don't have the room for paper!

I just got my Nook like, 3 days ago, so i haven't technically bought a pbook since, BUT i did buy Stardust a week ago.
But I've already had a plan in my head for when I did finally move to digital- It goes back to Beauty and the Beast and that scene where Beast gives her that enormous Library as a gift? That scene has been with me ever since I was a kid and I always knew that my house would have some kind of library, even if it only is one ikea like shelf. SO basically from now on I'm shopping purely digital, Unless I read an utterly fantastic book , THEN that one gets purchased in physical format too and added to my library so that I have a bookcase full of only the "good stuf" ![]() |

I prefer ebooks, but they are not always suitable or available as others have mentioned.
The other issue is that some ebooks are poorly formated and/or edited. I was looking at picking up Dune, but there are reviews for the kindle version talking about poor editing and formatting. The orignal review was from 2009 and as of Dec 2011 it still haven't been fixed. Not to mention the price of this poorly formated/edited ebook. I have run across this with some other books too. One was so badly formated that it was unreadable. The last pbook, for me, was the Thirty Year War. For now, my kids read pbooks. |
