Definitely not for everyone. I have a friend who can't get pass a chapter. He says it's headache inducing.

Not for everyone, maybe, but the masses are certainly converting to the new reality.

Most certainly. I have a friend at work. She was absolutely opposed to getting an ereader. She said she enjoyed the paper books. I told her she could save tons of space (she had a few shelves full of hundreds of paperbacks) she still didnt care.
Well this holiday season changed her mind.

Just like DVD players and HDTV's. It took a few years for people to convert over. Now ereaders and tablets are where DVD players and Hdtv's were 5 or 6years ago. The new hot item for the holidays.

Though I dont think eink will have as much popularity as tablets. The big reason??? People just dont read as much as watch videos and play games. Passive readers will get the eink readers and either return them for a tablet or use them very little. Although there has also been a trend where passive readers became obssessive readers because they were reading on a cool little device.

So the popularity of eink readers could wane a little after this year or next with the advent of the new hot item.(though I cant see what that will be right now, maybe 3d tvs or cell phones.)

I've spent a lot of time trying to convince my mother to buy herself an e-reader. Every debate, ultimately, came down to her liking the texture or smell of books; I realised this is true for just about every booklover who refuses to use an e-reader, and so I've coined the term 'Booksniffers'.

book·snif·fer
n.
1. One that enjoys the smell of books, especially a person who refuses to adapt to e-reader devices.
The booksniffer's natural habitat is the library; bombarded with the scent of yellowing paper from all sides, the booksniffer feels at ease. It is not uncommon to find, upon removing the third book of Douglas Adam's "Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy", that a booksniffer has hollowed out the wall behind the Science Fiction A-C shelf and has made a nest out of shredded paper and bits of lint from the librarians' cardigans.
