A bit late to this thread, but thank you SO MUCH for posting that photo and link. It helped me to decide to go ahead and order a matte skin for my T1. I don't mind the shine, but I do mind the way it attracts fingerprints! Trying to hold it via the cover only, without touching the reader itself, was causing my hands to cramp up. I hope this skin will solve the problem.

I just ordered a skin, so no real life pictures yet (and I'm scared of putting it on my PRS-950), but I had them put the artwork on the PRS-950 device picture so I could see how the art would be centered, and I really like the result. It's a beautiful skin in my opinion

I'll post pictures once I apply it. To be honest, I really love the silver bezel on my 950, although I would have preferred a darker color--navy, for instance. But I like how sleek it looks. The reason I want a skin is that I realized just how easily nicked the silver bezel is, however, and I don't want to take any more chances. and this skin was too beautiful to pass up!

That skin is very nice looking, I'm sure you'll be very happy with it. And like you, I would have killed for a navy blue 350, but they stupidly sold them only in some Euro countries. So I've opted for a the solid navy skin which gives a great imitation of the navy reader. And the skin protects the finish like you said, I would not have been happy to get nicks or scratches on the blue reader, so I guess this is best.

I saw your picture of the colormatch navy, I believe--that was going to be my second choice after this Snowflakes are Born one if I didn't like how the art positioning worked out. I do like using book covers as my standby image though, but I might have to relent for the sake of the skin!

and yes, navy blue 350/950 would have been amazing. I couldn't get my hands on the blue 350. as for the finish of the silver, I have two used PRS-950s, one which came with a couple scratches/nicks, fairly minor, and a like new one which I managed to ding myself with my phone.. it is a tiny mark but it breaks my heart, despite how unnoticeable it all is, but the silver is definitely vulnerable and decalgirl should help somewhat. i do have an irrational love for the PRS-950.. I will be sad when in a year or two I think about upgrading. The only feature I really want is reliable wi-fi for library lending and sugarsync downloading, and no other device comes close in terms of aesthetic appeal, in my opinion. but now i'm going to cover up the metal..

I originally had the Milky Way design and made a matching image to use as the default standby screen. But as nice as it looked, I found I got bored with it pretty quickly and switched to using a good image of the cover of the current book I'm reading, which I find I much prefer over a match to the skin.
