KOBO for the Love of GOD - fix the Storage Error/Reset!!! - Page 6

I wish I was a weird outlier! I got my fair share (personally I think it was tooooo many!) storage errors, and I also had issues with the double paging when a tap isn't registered thingy.
I'm pleased that something has decided to pass me by.
However I can only find one person who posted that they had a problem with Calibre and then Sameer suggested that as the firmware was brand new there could be issues with Calibre and we would need to wait for Calibre to be updated.
I really don't know how big an issue this is. It may just be the one person who had a problem.

my kobo desktop updated now i cant put my books on my ereader, it shows as being in there but their not this also happened to a few of the girls from my bookclub...Even the books we just bought from the affiliated bookshop(angus & robertson australia) wont go on i used to praise kobo to everyon, talked them all into kobo instead of the other brands and now they have screwed the kobo up so bad...fix it... no one wants to deal with this shit

Since you sound like you are in Australia, I'm assuming you are using either an original Kobo or Kobo wifi? This thread was really for the storage error which was affecting some users of the Kobo Touch so you would be better posting about your issues as a seperate thread. Infact you would probably be better contacting Kobo (if you haven't already) about your issue rather than posting here at all. This is not an issue I've personally seen come up, but if it is affecting more than one users (as you allude) they obviously would want to know about it and help you accordingly.

The only other thing I can recommend is uninstalling the Kobo Desktop application, then downloading it again (latest) from here: http://kobobooks.com/desktop, and try reinstalling it. You will likely have to reauthenticate your Kobo/sign in when you do this.

Boy I really should start charging Kobo for these posts

I am a bit confused by your post creenzie - what Kobo do you have - Original Kobo, Kobo wifi, or Kobo Touch?
Also which desktop app are you using? AFAIK the A&R store has it's own desktop app and you can't use the Kobo app to download those books. You need to use the A&R app automatically sync purchases from that store to your Ko or Kobo wifi.
Also the A&R app doesn't support the Touch so if you purchase books from A&R you will need to use ADE to load them onto the Touch.

I couldn't agree more! Response time is SOOOOO much faster (page turns especially). I had to find my place in the book I was currently reading (about halfway through) and it went rather quickly! I never had the error issue until today....death in the family and hadn't installed update 1.9.9 either. So I also didnt' realize I could probably get away with just "x-ing" out of error message and continuing to read. So I did the full reset and had to start from scratch! I wish I had done my updates in a timely fashion and maybe I wouldn't be in this mess of losing all of my awards, and bookmarks all messed up. Oh, well...as long as it is ok now!

This is the 2nd response improvement I have noticed with 1.9.10. Biggest improvement now is how fast it updates data base after adding books and no or less strange storage problems. To me reading awards are funny and I don't use the extra social stuff. Better dictionaries and easy google word search would be great addition. Know most definitions and context is enough for others but nice to refresh all word meanings such as the many for run.

@filmo: don't use the social either. Still nice to see other note some performance improvement. Who knows, maybe the bugs were slowing it down.
