Down under at school everyone spoke about the magic circle club, which I never watched. I thought that was for the girls. But I did watch the super flying fun show.
A bit later Saturday mornings were taken up by watching hey hey it's Saturday. Find one Australian that says they've not watched hey hey and you are either talking to a liar or someone that didn't own a television.

In the New York City market, I watched Just for Fun and Wonderama, both with Sonny Fox. And The Three Stooges with Officer Joe Bolton.

I could ride a skateboard from Taylor Square to the Opera House without stopping and did so many times.

I remember racing through my homework so that I could watch Wonder Woman. Linda Carter was my elementary school hero!

Wonder Woman . . . I liked the way she kept that costume defying gravity.
I just wish it was the same colour as her invisible airplane.

I guess I'm 3-4 years older than you, as 'Wonderama' was hosted by Sandy Becker when I watched. He was the host from '56. Sonny Fox began hosting the show in '59.

Do you remember watching 'Watch Mr. Wizard' with Don Herbert?
How about "You Are There!"

There was another 'wonderama' style show, where the host Paul Tripp rode in on a small train? It was called "Mr. I-Magination," and aired from 1949 to 1952. This is the first show I remember watching.

I remember cartoons with two monkeys named Bosco and Cookie. As I recall, there was a lot of background music by Duke Ellington or a band that sounded like him. When I hear Duke Ellington today, I think of Bosco and Cookie!

I also remember Crusader Rabbit cartoons with Rags the Tiger and Dudley Nightshade.

I remember Ding Dong School with Miss Frances. There was a series of books for tots published in association with that show. I remember one that I had that featured coal going down the chute into the boy's basement.

I remember the Chicago Cardinals, the Los Angeles Chargers, the New York Titans, the Dallas Texans, the Houston Colt .45s, the Cincinnati Redlegs, the Cincinnati Royals, the Syracuse Nationals, the Philadelphia Warriors, the St. Louis Hawks, the Chicago Packers and the Baltimore Bullets.

I think I remember the first color tv show I saw - the 1957 Army-Navy game, which featured star sophomore running back Joe Bellino.

I remember Black Jack and Beeman's chewing gum.

I remember Ovaltine.

I remember Armor Star franks because they featured something for kids on the cardboard the franks were packaged with. One in particular was a pirate's treasure chest map.

I remember getting our first stereo record player in 1965.

I remember when every nun wore a black habit that went down to the floor.

I remember when stewardesses all wore for and aft caps at an angle.

I remember when the Surgeon General issued his first warning against smoking cigarettes.

I remember the 1954 hurricane in Boston that blew a tree down next to our house. (They don't get many hurricanes in Boston.)

Speaking of Spin & Marty, I remember The Hardy Boys doing The Tower Treasure on the Mickey Mouse Club.

I remember "garfield goose and friends"with Frasier Thomas as the prime minister in the Goose's court. He also was ringmaster of Bozo's Circus and the host of Family Classics. Then there was Mr. Rogers Neighborhood, the big blue marble, The electric company, Newton's Apple, and of course Sesame Street. Not to mention all the real cartoons that are now absent from children's television today. Then there was the six million dollar man, the bionic woman and the Incredible Hulk.

I remember buying gas at the Spur station for 23.9¢ a gallon, 12-ounce bottles of Pepsi for 10¢ + 3¢ deposit on the bottle (which you got back when you returned the bottle), and 5¢ candy bars. I remember when McDonalds first came to our town, and Hamburgers were 15¢, Cheeseburgers were 18¢, fries were 12¢, drinks were 10¢, and my parents didn't go very often because they said it was "too expensive".

I remember seeing Flash Gordon and Mighty Mouse (the original show with Heckle and Jeckle cartoons in-between the Mighty Mouse cartoons) on TV, and fighting with my sister every day over whether to watch The Mickey Mouse Club or Howdy Doody.

I remember my dad building all kinds of crazy things in his darkroom that he found the plans for in Mechanics Illustrated and Popular Science; including a theremin that I wish like all get-out was still around and a "big ear" capable of picking up conversations from neighbors down the block.

I remember standing on the sidewalk in front of our house with my parents and all the neighbors as they stared in awe at the mysterious light in the clouds that was surely a flying saucer.

It was later revealed to be a spotlight from a nearby business that was advertising its grand opening, but the local police lines were lit up that night!

When a mouse pad was somewhere the cat chased the mouse to;
If you had a hard drive you got a hotel room and slept it off;
If you had a floppy disk you hopped no one noticed;
A Nook was a hole in the wall;
A cursor got his mouth washed out with soap;
Kindle is what one would do to a candle;
Screens were typically put in the middle of a room to seperate things and typically found in Japan;
If you took a megabyte your mother told you to take smaller bites of your meal;
A terabyte was typically a bucket of dirt;
