it has 10 preloaded fonts and yep i made a font directory

I don't know what the limit is for adding new fonts but you should be able to see at least some of the fonts you have added.

Have you done the following:
1) create a directory on the reader named 'fonts' in lowercase. The names Fonts or FONTS will not work.
2) add TrueType or OpenType fonts to the fonts directory with unique names. e.g. you cannot add a Georgia typeface since that name is already taken.

As Joe563 said: make sure you call it "fonts". I can speak from experience that "Fonts" doesn't work. I have 14 showing on mine, so showing more than 7 isn't an issue. As a side note, when you get to large numbers of fonts it just going to full screen listing of fonts, so in theory it should fit up to about 26 based on what I've got on my screen.
One other thing: if you had the Kobo on when you plugged in and added them, make sure you turn it "OFF" then back "ON" to get the fonts to show.

It works now, i had the fonts as "Fonts" instead of "fonts". I also changed the name but on the kobo it had what the type is

I added 30 to see how many would appear

edit only 15 are shown

So to clarify, you started out with 10, added 30, but only 15 of those are showing, so do you have 25 font choices in total?

Once again reality trumps theory. I just added a bunch more and it appears a total of 15 (including the preloads) are all that show up. Depending on the fonts it takes up more or less of the 2nd column.

15 total so 10 preloaded and 5 added

Actually could be he did the 1.9.5 Beta. The Beta added 5 new fonts IIRC but they changed out 3 of those for the release version based on beta feedback. When betatesters got the official update it didn't delete these extra fonts thus we ended up with 10 "preloaded" fonts. So now I'm not sure if you can actually get to 15 or if you can only add 5 which for most people means you can only get to 12 total
