I am on my second battery now. entourage replaced the first. I am really interested in having a spare. I felt crippled when the first failed, and I was unable to use t the device on the road.

Why should we live on the premise that everything else should be, and the more disposable, the more efficient? (Has anyone seen "The story of stuff" in the web?) This is self-criticizing, of course. I handwashed my elder children linen diapers when they were babies, and then turned to disposable diapers with the younger ones. (Sigh) This forum has been busy with a **** of developments recently, so I doubt there is room now to think of developing a Good Practices Guide to Eventual Edge Disposal, or thinking of a Planet-Friendly Edge Batteries and Devices Cemetery. But just for the records... |

Perhaps you've said this someplace else, but are you using an EE or a PE? Last week I bought a back-up EE battery from an Ebay seller, so perhaps you should keep an eye out there.

thanks for the replies.
I'm using the EE. checked out ebay-no dice. I'm in the US, so I'm not too sure how wise ordering from another country might be. I'm still in disbelief that the thing is nowhere to be found. I guess I'll just keep looking and hope to get lucky. |

I've checked every site I know in North America, and none are listing the battery.
Your next best bet is to order from England (http://www.ebookreaderdiscounter.com...l-battery.html) while they still have it. While I'm biased as a Canadian, I don't think you should worry about ordering from the UK. At least it's more or less the same language ![]() |

I've heard that there's a office in Ottawa where they flip coins to determine for each particular word whether to go with US or UK spelling.

thorne, have you tried simply emailing Entourage support and asking if they have a battery lying around that you can pretty please buy? I know that in earlier times, they've been known to help people out for things you weren't supposed to be able to do through them, but that they could manage to get done.
If anyone has a stack of these things lying around, it's them. I would think if they did have any stock, they'd be more than happy to offload it. |

Wow. I ordered a battery and styli from journeyed on April 1. Been so busy, I forgot all about them and went to check today as I haven't received them, yet. They don't seem to have anything left. But mine have been shipped so I guess I just squeaked in.

Because it's been two weeks, I called JourneyEd. They weren't all that helpful, other than to assure me that they had been shipped. They told me they couldn't track it because it was ordered through their Canadian department/site. Kind of peculiar, because I could swear I was listening to a French Canadian accent....

Seems to me if you went to the JourneyEd.ca site and called the number there you would get the info you're looking for...
