Got the pocket edge from HSN today

Is there a way to view my Nook books on the reader as well? I know I'm just probably missing it in your thread links. Thanks

I don't use B&N, so I can only give you generic instructions.

In the Library app, change the top left dropdown to "Storage" and navigate into "Internal Storage". Look for the folder in which the B&N app keeps its books (EPUB files). When you find the files, tap-and-hold on a file and select "Open in Reader" from the wheel menu. Please let me know the name of the folder so I can update my ebook tips post

The Nook has recently abandoned eink for a color interface. I wonder how that would affect reading BnN books on the Edge.

If the books are still in EPUB format, I wouldn't think it would affect much.

I believe most ebooks are actually published in colour, and only appear to be B&W because of eink...

...which is why we can use the capture function to see it in color on the LCD side. Right?

ok, makes sense. I was surprised they abandoned eink though. I guess the cry for backlighting became too strong. I like eink though, if anyone cares. please don't change it. LOL

ok, borisb, here's the latest. I navigated to Internal Storage. From there I went to the Nook folder, then Content. There was my ebook. I did the tap-and-hold and selected "Open in Reader". B&N then required a username and password for me to open the book on the ereader. After entering my B&N username & password, a pop-up window said it was incorrect info and try again. I did...several times. I called B&N and talked to a Customer Service Rep. He tried everything he could find in his data base and said my username and password I have for B&N should have worked to open it. He couldn't find specifics to the Pocket Edge, though, thinking it may be so new they don't have help in their database yet. So he submitted a follow-up form to go to more experienced tech help. I should be getting an email or phone call with a solution. At least I can still read on the tablet side till then.

For some reason, they use the first and last name from the credit card you have on file in the Nook store as the user name and the credit card number as the password.
