I'll be getting the new Simple Reader despite its huge shortcoming (at least in my view)- no web browser. I keep my fingers crossed for better PDF support, although I don't expect miracles from the smaller screen.

![]() The 950 has so many more features, and a higher resolution screen (I think) at 1024x600 as with the NC, so I think it was worth the extra money, but not the full retail of $299. |

Sony would still be be my first choice for reader, but even if I'm prepared to pay a bit extra to get a more "independent" reader with better library organization there is a limit to how big the orice difference can be. Add to that the great choice of great looking covers for the Nook, and it gets even harder to choose. Not that I actually have to choose right now. Thank heavens! |

I'll either get the Nook Simple Touch Reader or the Onyx M90.
![]() Or maybe both. I currently have no device. |

I think I am going to get the new nook. It seems to have solved all the minor problems I have with my current nook such as the battery life, weight, and that darned lcd screen. That said I think I'm going to wait until july because then I'll have gotten a full year of use out of my nook 1 and feel justified buying a new one.

It's a silicone skin with a plastic shell that wraps around the skin. It also includes a screen protector.
The Nook Color is only available in the Commuter Series and they're not as rugged as the Defender Series. If the Defender was available for the Color, I would've picked it up instead. It provides nice protection for casual carry, though I still put it in a neoprene sleeve to protect the screen. |

![]() ![]() I got a great deal on mine: $50 - 25% - 10% + free shipping. OtterBox was running a 25% off sale for Mother's Day. I then applied a 10% off coupon with free shipping to that price, courtesy of RetailMeNot. |

I'm on the fence. I lost my Kindle a few weeks ago and planned to replace it. I'm not sure if I should stick with my original plan or make a go at an all nook ecosystem (I own a nook 1st edition). I enjoyed having access to Kindle books.

Some of the deals offered with the Kindle Special Offers model are fairly substantial.

I might actually go for that model if I should choose to purchase another Kindle. The reviews on it are positive. I've decided to hold off on any purchases though until the new nook is released and the reviews are in. I haven't yet invested a heap into Amazon in terms of Kindle books.

WIll this new nook do landscape?
I've read some reviews and they don't mention it...nor did what I read at B&N so I am guessing not. But sometimes their promotional descriptions are insomplete so it's worth asking.
