So I was looking for WoT artwork for the covers, I like the full color spreads, when I found this.
http://www.fantasy-fan.org/files/Jor...llpaper_01.jpg Anyone know where I can find more full color spreads like that one? Darrell K. Sweets Wheel Of Time paintings that were used for the original covers? Id love to use them for my computer wallpaper. I found this link here. http://www.3datadesign.com/gallery/e...AX=138&MIN=126 Itd be much better if it didnt have that reminder about it being from the calendar on the left side but I cant find many pictures without it. Anyway, after I looked at that pic closer I saw that it led to Tor.com. In search of more wallpapers without the calendar writing on them I went there and stumbled across this thread. http://www.tor.com/blogs/2009/11/whe...chedule#146314 Immediately upon clicking the link I was led to this letter. 184. Kalseth Saturday November 20, 2010 08:16pm EST I do not write as well as others that have posted here so I will try to be brief. I read 3-5 books per week depending on how much work I have any given day. Over the last 5 years I spend about 5 thousand dollars a year buying books. I purchase all types of formates. HC, SC, E books, as long as I can read it I do. There are many TOR Authors that I follow religiously and purchase there hard cover books the moment they come out. Then often end up buying an ebook version if I fill that I will reread it. I have bought multiable copies of this series over the years as they got lost (loaned out) or fell apart after multiable rereading (I reread the entire series each time a new book comes out). I will no longer purchase TOR books. I will not resort to finding a pireted copy. I am sure that at some point I will read the rest of the The wheel of time books but no one involved with this feasco will recive any more of my money. This is not about me not getting my ebook for cheap. This is not even about someones mistaken idea that delaying the ebook was a good idea. This is about the total lack of anything remotly resembling customer service or consideration. To offer the ebook up to just before the relese and then pull it (for a entire year ?) with no warning. Then to have no official response. NONE from TOR is frankly inexcusable. Even your standarded "we are sorry for your frustration" but nothing is going to change press realise would have been better then this silence. Readers become attached to what they read and that makes this type of out of the blue cold shoulder to many fans hurt more then it really should looking at things from the real world perspective. I know that noone at TOR or anyone else involved with this will read or even really care at the lose of my respect and patranage (or my spelling will chase them off) but I will fill better for the expressing of it and unfourtantly you will have that much less profit from me at the end of the year. Way to go Tor and everyone involved, you just lost quite a sale. Surely they dont care but to think of how many people may feel that way and are no longer buying Tor books, Im sure its quite a few. I have the Way of Kings, but I am waiting to read it. I keep saying I will wait until after A Memory of Light comes out, but I doubt I will wait that long.
From what I understand, Harriet is very old school. She just doesn't get the need for ebooks. At least Brandon talked her into only waiting 3 months. I for one am excited to see what the ebook cover will look like. I hate the original covers so much and the new ecovers look amazing, IMO. I use the cover of FoH for my Nooks wallpaper. ![]() I bought the HB the morning it was released like I have for the past 14 years when a new WoT book was released. Next year I hope to go to Charleston SC for the midnight release release of AMoL with Brandon and team Jordan. |

Hahahaha ha ha ha haha!!!
![]() You guys are complaining about having to wait for the Ebook to come out. Did any one you think of searching for it as a torrent??? ![]() It took me less than a minute to search for it, get the torrent, download it and verify that it was a legit Ebook version. I own the HC copy of the book and I only have the ebook just in case I lose my Hard copy somehow. All you guys have to do is look for it. ![]() So while you guys are all ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Yes the emotes are there to rub it in. ![]() |

Greyn1, did you not read the thread before commenting? People were aware a pirated e~version was available 3 days after the release of the HB.

I pre-ordered my HB copy of the book. So I DID pay for it. To me it matters not what or how many mediums I have a copy of literature on, as long as I buy it first. That goes with all my music and movies too. Nothing I have is stolen. Merely recorded onto multiple mediums just in case I lose one. Once I get my Nook I will be buying them all again.
