I'm only at 12,413 but I was interrupted by freelance work. I expect this week to be much better. I'm working on a fifth Detective Jackson novel, and it feels great after a year of rewrites.

I'm just short of 10k as of last night, which means that at this rate I'll never finish on time. Still, it's been a lot of fun and I plan to take it as far as I can. Hopefully I can at least break 30k and have a decent first draft by the end of December.

I didn't even try this year, I spend most of my days drinking imaginary cups of tea and pretending to eat sticklebricks. I don't mind but it does make Nano tricky. I've written about 1,000 words this month. Hmm... maybe next year.

I'm sitting at 24,545 as of right now.

Unfortunately, that's only bringing me to midway to Chapter 5 out of 16 planned chapters. Something tells me I won't be done by (US) Thanksgiving, like I had planned originally.

I would strongly recommend drinking real cups of tea. But stick to eating imaginary sticklebricks. Or sticklebacks, which is what I first read it as.

I'm participating this month.. but I'm also renovating a new house and trying to get moved in by 30NOV, so we'll see how it goes.. November is never a good month for me.

I've fallen a bit behind after being ill earlier in the week. I'm trying to catch up. Current count in Word: 15,932 when I should be at 20,000 by the end of the 12th according to a NaNo calender I downloaded. Oh dear. I've done an outline in Word's outline view and keep adding necessary scenes to it. I'm going to have lots of rewriting to do later because I'm writing the scenes out of order, so they don't always flow into each other. Ho Hum.

By the way, does it matter if the name of my book has already been used? "Haunted". I checked it on Amazon, and there's a famous book called that, (the name of the author escapes my befuddled mind).
