Kiwidude,
One follow-up: On running an author (I just did Nora Roberts for my wife), on the Predefined Fantastic Fiction, I got 397 lines after hitting Preview... but the Next button never highlighted. I notice that there are a bunch of blank Lines too, with the only data being the author, Nora Roberts. Same problem with David Eddings: Used FF, got 43 lines with 7 blank line here and there, and no Next button highlighted any ideas why it came to a halt? Or what I can do? I delete the 'blank(ish)' lines, then it seems to be a 'Go' |

That may solve some of the other failures I had. Soooo, I guess the question if whether the xpath or something else can be changed to automatically remove blank lines...??? Sure would be nice |

This plugin hasnt had much attention for a long time, and a number of the websites have changed. I have been updating the xpaths and urls and will also be revisiting a number of the unanswered posts on this thread to see if any other suggestions are worth the effort to include. It could be that the FantasticFiction one needs some tweaking, I will try to replicate the issue when I next get a chance to work on it...

Currently I have validation logic in the wizard which says if the title for a book is blank, then don't let you proceed. That is why the Next button is grayed out, and as theducks pointed out, a workaround is to delete those rows with blank titles. I will have a play to see if I can get another xpath expression which works, though this particular website is a real pain for trying to do this as the html is very poorly structured. Alternatively I could change the wizard so that any lines with blank titles just get ignored rather than stopping you from going to the next page. |

Thanks very much for taking the time to investigate a patch etc. Unfortunately that exact approach would break too many other fields (for an example of why you can try with the FantasticFiction website). However if restricted to just the tags field it should be fine, if not quite as flexible. This plugin has so many features/options as it is I am reluctant to try to throw one more in front of users I will put the change in the new version I will release shortly. |

Thanks for the enhancement! Great. Naturally, my approach for all fields is too generic, especially in cases like the FantasticFiction website And you are right: keep it simple, no unneeded widget elements. The solution not to add books without title to the preview is the best one for all cases. Thanks again! |

enhancement proposal: multiple values in custom columns
Hi kiwidude,
sometimes I want to add multiple values in custom columns as tag list. I found a solution, see attached diff. I hope I did it right - just for custom columns AND of type "is_multiple": if "is_names"-column then join with " & ", else join with ", ". (no interference of FantasticFiction or other predefined settings this time ;-) ) |

When importing dates (like publication date) from a CSV file, one day seems to be subtracted from the date in the file.
This is most obvious if you have a date like "01 Jan 1988", and it is stored as "31 Dec 1987", so Calibre displays it as "Dec 1987". |
