Thanks, I will try it. I can see that it contains the LEFTHYPHENMIN, RIGHTHYPHENMIN lines already. And it is also huge in size (664k) compared to the built-in ones.

I've packaged the second dictionary. I've attached it so you can give it a go. If it works for you, I'll add it to the first post. Just unZIP the file, add the KoboRoot.tgz to the .kobo directory of your Reader, reboot, and give it a go.

I've removed the Hungarian hyphenation dictionary and moved it to the first post in this thread.

I tried it but didn't find any difference in the book. Maybe it was hyphenated before with the same or similar dictionary in the epub creation process.

I will play with this later, thank you.

EDIT: I owerlooked it at first, without the dic file, the book is not hyphenated. With it, it is.

I don't see any speed issues. I disabled FullScreenReading by the way.

JSWolf, thanks so much for the information and files. I'm trying to learn about the process of creating hyphenation dictionaries, would you mind answering a few questions?

First off, which dictionary (dictionaries?) is the "JSWolfHyphenUS-EN.zip" dict based on? It doesn't seem to be the Adobe dict, and the LibreOffice one I've downloaded is much smaller (my presumption: less entries equals worse hyphenation).

Did you encounter a max filesize for hyphenantion dictionaries? I've found a German dictionary file that looks very comprehensive, but is 1.04 MB in size. I wonder if it'll still be usable on the Kobo.

As far as I can tell, hyphenation for EPUBs only works if the "justified" setting on the Kobo is active. Do you know if that's correct, and if there's a way to force hyphenation when "justified" isn't active?

I have an Aura H2o which has been running on 3.19.5613 for a long time, just updated it to 4.5.9587 a few hours ago.

There'll be probably more questions as I learn about this stuff, TIA for helping (; .

I used a dictionary from Open Office. I had to use a non-Adobe dictionary because it's not allowed to be given out. As for size, I don't know the size limit or if there even is one.

To use hyphenation, you have to be using full justification. Hyphenation doesn't work with left justification. There's no way to change this.

Yours is not correct.

The dictionary itself looks good to me. Fix your paths and I'll put it in the first post.

I create a path for russian language.
This hyphens based on Batov dictionary.
I was change LEFTHYPHENMIN, RIGHTHYPHENMIN by increase it by 1. And now has not one letter per line.
