My intuition is that, one day not too faraway, may be real soon, you will be walking downtown looking for a new pair of shoes and eying through the windows of the shops, when he will bump into you and you will help him to collect the packages he has bought for his old Aunties (he has 3, you will know all of these saucy details in a second time). LOL You are soooooo Italian.

I loved my 6 months in Milan. I date three hotties, one for three months. Try explaining why you are a virgin and going to stay a virgin to three hot, young Italian men in their 20's.....

There an interesting paper investigating Gender* Differences in Receptivity to Sexual Offers. The experiment was with college students, of course, on a college campus.

About 50% of men or women in the study said Yes when asked (by a 'plain clothes' researcher of the opposite sex): "I have been noticing you around campus. I find you very attractive. Would you go out with me tonight?"

So: Ask! You probably have a better than 50% chance of getting a "yes" for a date.

You (being a woman) could get that up to 70% or more by changing the question you ask, but I don't advise that strategy. See the paper for the details: http://www.elainehatfield.com/79.pdf.

Oh - and Coke Zero #3 at the moment!

* Wrong word, of course. They meant sex differences

A girl has to look out for herself. Don't trust a perfect stranger to do that for you. Nowhere.

Terrible! This morning was fine, I didn't have any traffic jams. But this evening ... I have to drive 70 kilometers, and it took me two and a half hours. But anyway, it's weekend now

I'm not sure that's a fair summary of all the advice. Then again, free advice is often only worth what you paid for it.

Just to add to the mix, let me add in my "how I met my spouse" story.

I did a lot of country dancing when I was young, and we met at dances. We went out for about four or five months, had a silly argument and split up. Meeting by accident a week or two later, I proposed — somewhat to both our surprises. We were married less than a year we first met. It'll be 24 years on 3rd July.

Sainsbury's Sparkling Lemon & Lime Fruit Crush (no added sugar)

(Water, Lemon and Lime juice from concentrate (2%), Citric Acid, Natural Flavorings, Sodium Citrate, Sucralose, Malic Acid)

An interesting soft drink that is less carbonated than most.

An amazing follow-up. As a guitar slide! How very resourceful and creative. But you could only have been this foresightful and clear-thinking after the contents of the green bottle had been consumed. Well done! Yes, the bottle neck has changed. I think it is more elongated, and it is no longer sealed with a cork. More and more we are seeing those darn threaded screw-caps. How very tacky!

Helplessly hoping
Her harlequin hovers nearby
Awaiting a word
Gasping at glimpses
Of gentle true spirit
He runs, wishing he could fly
Only to trip at the sound of good-bye

Saturday morning and all is well. Keemun tea in my cup, humus, Kalamata olives and pita on my plate, and a song in my heart. Actually, the song I woke up with was "Marrakesh Express," which motivated the urge for humus, but then switched to "Helplessly Hoping" when I saw a photo of a young Bridget Bardot in a bikini...
