Currently relaxing after the best vegetarian chili-ish I have ever made (even if I do so say

) and get into a nice, relaxed(*) state of mind for the very rare occasion of actually wanting to watch a TV show, and planning on doing so.

(* The relaxed is essential, lest i start frothing at the mouth and exploding)

Please tell me you're not planning on watching that idiot Nick Griffin on QT?

I won't watch it as I'm pretty sure my TV wouldn't survive the night.

Sitting at home, getting over what I think is just a 24-hour bug (it can't be swine flu, because it's annoying, but hardly debilitating or life-threatening).

Anyway, trying to get some writing and (ahem) non-work-related downloading done, when I can concentrate.

Head is spinning. Way too much going on in my brain - Kindle for PC, BN's Nook - (do I want one, or do I not?), school - (last week of classes, dreading next session); work - (what drama awaits tonight?); home life -(how many books will the budget stand this week?). Hopefully tonight's shift will go fast, and I'll be not as exhausted as I was last night.

Hmmm. I remember the "No Platform" debates when I was at Uni. I didn't think there was a reason for it then, and much as I despise that person and the party he is connected with, I don't think we have the right to refuse them the airtime. I guess I agree with the quote mis-attributed to Voltaire.

I would like to think that the result will be exposure of their real views, and an un-biased reporting of where they are found lacking, but I fear I am an optimist.

wonder if they're all from the same original source ?

Could be. I'm sure its better than the only other recipe I could find which involves you turning the heating down....

My partner has strictly forbidden me from watching it because he knows that I will just get too annoyed, and he hates to see me upset. He may also fear for the television.
