Download the zip file in the thread's second post. Do not unzip it. Go to Calibre Preferences > Plugins > Load plugin from file and select the zip file.

Customize FanFicFare > personal.ini > Open personal.ini

Just look for this line:

#is_adult:true

and remove the '#' in front.

If there's a typo for one of the settings, it highlights in red. So don't worry too much about breaking things.

So I'm now getting a more specific problem relating to when stories update with new chapters.

For Literotica, there is an extra_valid_entries called eroticatags.

I find them useful but don't want them in "tags" since I have a separate system there. So I created the calibre custom column "#etag" to hold them.

Then since I couldn't use the custom columns tab to insert them I added this to personal.ini (based on a similar answer about something like this):

add_to_custom_columns_settings:
eroticatags=>#etag

That works very well when importing new titles. But I've noticed that when updating an old story with new chapters it overwrites what is already there and destroys the #etag entries not included in the updated chapters.

Is there any way to have them add without deleting old entries?

Anyone else seeing Cloudflare captchas and "403 Forbidden" errors when trying to download from A03?

EDIT: and webserver errors as well. I guess this means that they are being DDoS attacked again....

I'm also seeing the error message and FanFicFare isn't working as a result I think. I got this error message:

I'm continuing to get this error " 'NoneType' object has no attribute 'get_text' " whenever I try downloading fanfiction from AO3. Never seen this happen before, and it's only happening to a few fanfictions that I'm using the correct links for. Any way I can resolve this?

We've recently fixed an error with that description. Have you tried the posted test version? Link in my sig.

Sorry, I see now that it's Version 4.27.0? I'm still unsure how to install this though, since I've only done FanficFare updates through calibre itself, and not through a zip file. I'm reading installation instructions but I can't wrap my head around it and would I need to re-configure all my settings and the personal.ini file?
