Hi, I keep receiving this error whenever i try to update.

Add New Book still gives same error.

Updating adds a chapter with just the title and nothing else yet says its a good update.

It would help to find some commonalities:
What site skins do the people seeing these issues use?
Where in the world are they?
Are they using a proxy or VPN? Which one?
What language do they have their computer set to?

AO3 Posted not long ago their this months site changes thing if that helps also.

No change to updating a book. Adding new book now adds just chapter titles but no body text.

I checked all the stories that were reported as failed, and I noticed all of them were adult content and require clicking through. Could AO3-6480 have broken anything?

I'm running an update of multiple fics and all of them worked.

I was able to download a general rated fic with no issue. It stops working when I attempt to download an explicit fic. I disabled my site skin just in case before I opened Calibre and tried again. Here's another log from the test version. It does download the fic but doesn't update the metadata fields with the author tags (only had 'completed' and 'FanFiction').

Okay, when I turn off personal.ini setting is_adult:true I start seeing these issues.

Short term answer: is_adult:true

I will look into in more detail some time tomorrow.

I once asked why it was disabled by default, and the answer was along the lines of "because parents might bitch about it." But I'm not sure that there's really any benefits to leaving it disabled, unless there's a site change that causes errors the other way around.

Basically. I honestly don't remember if that's something I decided or was already in place when I came to the project.

There are some users who don't want to bump into explicit material.

Unfortunately, until I have a way to see this for myself (or some other dev can), all I can do it make fixes from the debug reports. It would help to find some commonalities: What site skins do the people seeing these issues use? Where in the world are they? Are they using a proxy or VPN? Which one? What language do they have their computer set to?
