I am sitting in a room in Soi 11, Sukhumvit, Bangkok wondering whether I will write my copy on time and still pondering proof reading. There has to be an answer.

Going through my whole CD collection (all 15 of them

) to avoid hearing the party upstairs. My neighbor was very polite, warning me about it last week, but I still hate it. I guess I'll have to put on earplugs when I go to bed. Yuck.

Oh no, I can feel your pain! The apartment we lived in before we moved to our house was full of people who loved to party every Friday and Saturday. And their taste in music was kind of doubtful. Earplugs are a good idea!

Thanks! It's not that bad really, I can't hear any music, just the voices and the steps on the floor. I hate hate hate hate those old floorboards. And I hate earplugs too

huh, i think the same people who lived there moved into the appartment under mine for a few years. but they expanded to having parties three or four times a week. the highlight was the piano recitals at 1 or 3 or 5 in the morning.

i hate earplugs too. they hurt my ears. and i was really frustrated at first because in fact you can still hear the noise when you wear them, plus sometimes you hear your own blood beating, i hate that. but after much practice i've come to realise that they don't block all noise but usually they reduce it to a level which is more ignorable. if i ever find some truly comfortable earplugs, i will let you know.

We'll need to make sure we have enough for some bacon, too - and something to keep VR distracted long enough for WDE to get scent of it...

As for noisy neighbours - the Bose noise cancelling headphones might work - unfortunately, if you want to listen to music with them you really need to listen to something that works well with the bass accentuated. I have considered getting some in the past, but rather balk at paying that amount of money for a pair of headphones!

They ARE all a little different. I tried 4 or 5 types of squishy disposable foam ear plugs before finding one that fit my ear a little differently than the rest, and felt pretty good. For me, Flent's purple ear plugs work best. And there is a decided difference! They can be purchased in smaller quantities, but here's a link for a 50 pack.
