It took me much longer than planned, there was mechanical problems with my plane and traffic in Northern Virginia was a nightmare when I did arrive, but I'm finally home.

I think he would like to stop that trend, as well. The media is starting to call them the "Cardiac Cats" with good reason.

The worst thing is watching the game on TV with my mom (I could have been at the game in Baltimore, but my flight got in too late to get onto the team flight) and hoping SHE didn't have a heart attack!

I have to tell you, the Bengals organization was incredible and took care of everything for Mike and us. Their business manager helped make all the arrangements and we never had to worry about a thing other than dealing with our grief. Every defensive player (and almost all of the offense) came to the funeral as did the coaches and management (Mrs. Mike Brown is a delightful lady). Even the Cincinnati police force was phenominal in dealing with traffic (it was a little surreal riding in what seemed like a Presidential motorcade) and the media was extremely respectful. No matter where Mike goes in the future, the Bengals have earned a life long fan in me.

I was sitting on an airport terminal shuttle on my way to Cincinnati when a young woman sat down next to me and started hacking and coughing and blowing her nose. Not completely back to normal yet. I still have to steer away from anything crunchy. It's funny how something like oral surgery doesn't seem quite so important as the death of a family member. I feel kind of bad for even mentioning it now.
