[Conversion Output] KFX Output

Hi,
i tried to covert this file with different methods like epub produced by calibre and kpf produced by kindle previewer...But both time the memory error occurs..Is there a way to correct it..? I am attaching both of the log files..

Why no support for Linux? I needed so much this plugin cause apparently only converting to KFX the book covers are supposed to show properly since the last update, but i'm using Linux and this is unavailable on linux

The KFX plugin uses Kindle Previewer which Amazon does not make available for Linux. However if you can get it to work with Wine you can kindly ask the plugin creator if Linux support is possible. I only saw a user who managed to get Kindle Previewer to work with Wine. See post # 848 of this thread.

Getting the error on 1 particular book:

The book makes use of a KNOWN feature that the PI does not support. A WAD

Make sure that you have the latest version of the Kindle Previewer installed. Version 3.40.0 handles some things that prior versions did not.

If that does not help then you will need to edit the book to remove text within SVG images before conversion.

For a Kindle book to convert correctly the entries in the logical Table of Contents (NCX file) must be in the same order as the content of the book. You will need to edit the book to reorder the NCX. The calibre editor function to regenerate the TOC may help with that.

Your logical TOC has an entry that links to destination that is not present in the book. The same solution applies.

Perhaps you should browse the Amazon Kindle Publishing Guidelines and read Amazon's Attributes and Tags Supported by Enhanced Typesetting before posting about unsupported tags/attributes found in converting to KFX.

The conversion capability built into calibre is designed to succeed as best it can at converting between formats even if some of the formatting from the original book will not carry through into the new format.

The conversion to KFX is mostly done by Amazon's Kindle Previewer. It works with a different goal of only producing a result if the original format can be converted cleanly to KFX. Books containing unsupported features will intentionally fail to convert.

No guarantee it will work, but you can try this. Just remember that the conversion process can take several minutes, so keep the tab open until the output downloads.
