I think she was going for 1998, 2007 and last year. Those were all good ones.

Please don't mention Christmas, I am slowly recovering from the last one. And the eleventy birthdays my family seems intent on cramming into one single month: October

I just ordered my Dad's present at Amazon. I'm not sure at all he will like it but then I can just take it back for myself

Lazy Scot, why exactly is the building shaking so much?
Cat, honey, this has been my career aspiration ever since high school. Unfortunately, I never found the secret to making boyfriend/husband rich enough so I could.

About to make a stew for dinner. Yum, yum

Receipe

1/3 to 1/2 kilo meat (or meat substitute)

2 big potatoes

2 Carrots

1/2 Red onion

Some garlic powder (to taste)

1 liter tomato sauce.

1/4 bell pepper (optional)

A little vegetable oil

pan fry meat or meat substitute until nearly done with garlic powder
and oil.
peel and cut up veggies, then put in veggies, the tomato sauce and
an equal amount of water. Cover.
cook on medium low heat until all veggies are soft. (Usually 2 hours)
Serves 3-4.

Chow down.

(relatively low salt, the only added salt is in the tomato sauce.)

Meh, I know, I know... the thing is, whenever a guy teases me for my traditional tastes, I bite his head off and chew it to purée, so beware...

Incidentally, I make my stew exactly the same as you do it, but add fresh herbs (basil, parsley, thyme and oregano).

I've been a bad, bad girl.

The AAUW had their booksale this week. I went yesterday and only got a few books. Then when I told my two coworkers about it they wanted to go.

I filled an entire bag Today (and yesterday) was half price day, so paperbacks were 10-25 cents each. Tomorrow is bag day ($5 a bag), and I'm looking at my bag thinking, hrmm, maybe I should have waited until tomorrow...

I got around 20 books, and only paid $4.75. I do prefer reading ebooks, but geez, who can beat that price?
