Lots of damage in Tuscaloosa, but the weather guy says he thinks they got the students to safety. The storm chaser is in rescue mode, trying to help people at the Motel 6 whose roof is lying in its parking lot.

The 2nd tornado in line, Bigger Brute, Caused "massive damage" in Greene county. Following the path of Big Brute, maybe a few miles south.

It is getting very dark out there.

There is so much debris in the air with Bigger Brute that the natl weather service can see it in radar.

They just cancelled the warning for me. Big Brute was absorbed by Bigger Brute. I hope it stays south of us!

Another supercell is just now forming behind Bigger Brute.

Aw CRAP! Bigger Brute just turned and is making abeeline for me here in Hueytown! That's how fast these monsters are evolving!

Brand new warning for us, "massive tornado." The emergency sirens are blasting. Very freen out there and no wind whatsoever again. Hopefully it will stay 5 miles south of here, which is where Bigger Brute is right now.

There Are apparently "hundreds of thousands" of people camping at Talladega Superspeedway. Authorities say that there is no place to shelter them.

They think that after the emergency is over and statistics are counted, these storms today will be "historic."
