I just joined this forum 'cos I particularly need KCC. This thread already has too much info, and I'm dizzy looking at past postings, so excuse me if I ask the same question.
I wanna install KCC, but here: https://kcc.iosphe.re/ only provides installer for 64-bit windows. Is there no installer for 32-bit windows 7? |

Next KCC release will be after QT 5.6 release. Which according to the plan should be released 8th December 2015... |

At first I would like to thank for developing great piece of software. I especially like feature to create epub, since I do not have kindle device.
I do not know wheter it is possible to propose here some small improvement, but at least I will try :-). I have noticed that when there is a white or black page with one small picture (for example it right bottom corner of page), KCC will crop only this picture and since I am using resample/streach setting, this small picture is resizied to full resolution of my reader. So it means that approximately 85% of the picture is cropped (because there is just white or black space) and one small part of the page is "enlarged". So I would say that the page is "overcropped". In my opinion this significantly changes the layout of page and intention of author how the page should look like. Therefore I would propose to implement some maximum limit of how much from the page could be cropped (for example no more than 30% of the page; I think that this limit should be sufficient to ensure the main reason for what cropping is used: to cut page borders). If the limit is exceeded than cropping should not happen at all. I not sure if what I have describe is possible to implement, but I think I would create additional value in using KCC. |

I played around with the dev version of KCC to try to get all page numbers removed, but there's always a few that linger. So I just use an old windows freeware called jpegcrops, load up all pages, and simultaneously crop out the bottom margin where the page numbers are. Then I let KCC handle the remaining margins.

@marian42 - I'm aware about this issue. Not found any solution yet that satisfies me.
@badbob001 - I probably add option to do that too. |

Start kcc.py with your Python3 - it will display what libraries are missing.

Hello, I have a problem with Kindle Comic Converter. I'm sorry if the solution is somewhere and I didn't find it but I'm ill at ease with the english language and with the informatics. I almost give it up but I'm going to try here, maybe it will help, I hope..
I have a mac OS El Capitan 10.11.3 and I download Kindle Comic Converter 5.0.1. I want to convert cbz manga to mobi, I have a Kindle Paperwhite. The conversion to epub works but Kindle doesn't support it so it's useless. I have the error message "cannot find kindleGen!" and "instal it using "brew". I followed the instruction but it's still doesn't work, the error message is the same while I have installed what it wanted. I really hope someone could lead me. Thank you. I'm still looking for Windows users plagued by "Failed to remove the file." errors. Can't replicate this issue.

I've been using KCC happily for at least 2 to 3 months with no problems. Recently however i have run into a problem where the Mobi/AZW3 file is not showing up in my Kindle Paperwhite 2. This happens with Calibre and when I just drag and drop it using windows explorer into the Documents folder.
I've followed these same steps before and have had 0 problems but it seems now that something has changed and now my PW2 does not seem to recognize the file. |
