Why spoiler that?
I really enjoyed the trilogy you are starting in on. I was a bit concerned when my Mom told me she was reading The Girl With a Dragon tattoo. I know Mom pretty well and there was one part that I knew would be challenging for her. She did not read the two other books, which was not that much of a surprise to me. I enjoyed the Hunger Games trilogy. I got through them in about 2 days. It was an interesting idea that was pretty well done. A good set of books. I think I prefer Ender's Game and the Shadow series to the Hunger Games. For some reason the Ender's series just strikes me as a better read, a bit more adult even though highly accessible to kids. |

![]() Where you drink champagne It tastes just like Coca Cola, C-O-L-A cola She walked up to me and she asked me to dance I asked her her name and in a dark brown voice She said Lola, L-O-L-A, Lola, L-L-Lola Well, I'm not the world's most physical guy But when she squeezed me tight she nearly broke my spine Oh my Lola, L-L-Lola ![]() Wednesday... "Hump Day".... middle... should mean we can either go forward or back... I don't think I want to go back to Tuesday... ![]() Anyway... a new morning starting off with a big mug of Taylors of Harrogate's English Breakfast tea, rice and tsukemono, and a bowl of miso soup. Going to see if I can ride up to the tea gardens today. The weather is warm and I don't want to miss the chance. I know it's going to get cold again before Spring officially begins. Quote:
That was the favorite drink of my parents. Neither were heavy drinkers, but did enjoy a glass or two over the weekends and at parties. I tried Tanqueray back then (perhaps 25 years ago) but didn't like it. But I know that my tastes have changed over the years so I really should try it again. Quote:

I've seen this residue on the insides of glass tea kettles, and it's hard enough to scrape it off glass. It must be next to impossible to get it off cast iron. Quote:
I think that I will switch teas for my second mug. I'm going with some China Black from McNultey's. That will really kick-start my morning! Stitchawl |

I have some residue in my tea pot. It was line with enamel so it is not too hard to clean. I am pretty bad about cleaning it though. I do it about once a week. I have been tying with a green tea pot for green teas, a red tea pot for red teas, and the black tea pot for black teas. I am not sure that my desk has enough space for all of that. |

I've just tasted NBT's Pu-erh toucha #5. To save time, I made it with two touchas. Doubling the amount of leaves had the effect of filling the bottom of my mug with double the amount of leaves. The end.
I seriously wonder if there was any reason for making touchas or bricks other than ease of transportation or storage. Now having a lovely mug of NBT's Assam Moran. THIS is what tea should taste like! Stitchawl Last edited by Stitchawl; 02-23-2011 at 01:53 AM. |

![]() ![]() Actually, I'm afraid of reading the books from Dragongirl etc. Last summer I saw all the films in one day, in a marathon in our cinema, with a short break for food. B-e-a-u-t-i-fu-l......................and I saw these films seperately after the marathon and I bought them as well. Last Christmas we had a family-DVD-marathon of the Lord of the Rings and The Dragongirl. I'm afraid to read the books; will they be as good as the films. I dare not read these books, but I bought them, just in case. ![]() Last edited by desertblues; 02-23-2011 at 05:02 AM. |

Desert, do not exitate. Read them without remorse. Watch out that the first book has a very slow start, I mean some 300 viscous pages. But than ... All hell breaks loose. Of course you already know everything, so did I when I reread the 2nd and 3rd book. Everybody have a good day, or night or what. |

![]() I've read a while ago that tuesday is the worst day of the week for most people. The weekend is definitely behind you, but the next weekend is still a looong time away. So most people struggle on tuesdays. Quote:

But I'm going to read them, some day. Even if it's just to know what all the buzz is about. First cup of tea this day: Pure peppermint. |

Only because it is the middle or 'hump' of the week. We work 'up Monday and Tuesday, then work 'down' Thursday and Friday. Wednesday is the hump of the work week.
Enjoying the last cup of NBT's Assam Moran tea. It has been a very pleasant experience, one which needs be repeated. Stitchawl |

I thought it might irritate some people if I hijack this threat like that. At the same time I wanted to share
