This is what I meant. The 2gb on the nook Glow would have been enough memory for me if it were all available for side-loaded content.

I haven't been able to get that to work on the GloHD yet, (with sideloaded kepubs). I see the option, but checking it on or off makes no difference.. Pinch zoom works on images, but not text.

I haven't been able to get it to work either. But, it does work for resizing PDFs.

I've been reading on my Glo HD for a day now.
There is a bit of shadow at the bottom, it'll take a little while before I learn to ignore it. There seems to be a little less light at the top of the screen. Not sure if this is real or imaginary. I'm finding the IR sensor bezel really annoying. It's shiny plastic, so it reflects any light in the area. The reading experience is great. Love the sharpness. Speed processing books it very fast, selection is faster, with the pop up boxes much faster (compared with Glo). |

I love the Glo HD. Such a nice size, feels nice in hand, beautiful to look at front and back. Love reading on it. I described my two tone screen above, but it doesn't bother me. (I'm not an extremely picky person). While reading, I don't notice it. I turned the light down to 55% and it's not that noticeable (unless I turn the device upside down).
Overall I think it's just perfect! |

Thats exactly the problem the Voyage has, the two tone screen. Some are worse than others.

Having tried it on my Aura6" when I first got it, you're not missing anything as far as epubs are concerned

It is disappointing to hear about the two toned screen on the Kobo Glo HD. I thought Kobo had nailed the lighting tech on their IR screens, and that it primarily afflicted capacitive screens like Amazon's but it seems to not be the case any more. Just goes to show how good a device the H2O is, because I don't think we've ever heard a complaint about the lighting in it.

@booklover6 (and anyone else with a GloHD and Kindle Voyage) - How does the GloHD compare to the Voyage in terms of screen clarity, lighting, and touch responsiveness (for page turns, highlighting, dictionary look-up, etc.)?
@Ripplinger (and anyone else with a GloHD and Sony) - How is the GloHD's touch responsiveness compared to your Sony devices? Also, does the H2O have the shiny IR bezel? Thinking about a GloHD or H2O. Hard to decide between the two ![]() |

It's really the same as on the regular Glo, I didn't notice any improvement there at all. Sony's IR is still much more responsive, precise and quick.
