Hi,
Because some partitions on the SD card are corrupted, the Kobo reader is stuck on a loop at startup. I need you help and I would like the firmware image for a Kobo Clara HD (Model N249 - Black & White - 37NB-E60K00+4A4). I assumed it's the v1 but I am not sure. Based on my own experience, I recommend using OpenAI Codex locally as a step-by-step assistant. Codex proactively took a cautious approach: before making changes, it first created a backup and then guided me through the recovery and clean installation on a new card. It can also help interpret the output of commands such as lsblk, TestDisk, and ddrescue, verify image and serial-number details, and prepare the required commands. Always review the target device before any raw-disk write. If Kobo Desktop’s online setup fails afterward, you may need to use the offline KoboReader.sqlite workaround.
