Hi,

I found this image: Kobo_N249_Clara_HD_4_38_21908 and it worked for me.
It is posted somwhere o reddit

I had to activate it manualy and all is ok now.

Is there a way to find the original SN?

The original S/N is found in the image file at hex offset 0x200. The string starts with SN-N249 followed by the 9 characters of the serial number. You can find it engraved on the lower right edge of your Clara HD.

Hello everyone,

I’m very new in the Kobo community since i got my first Clara HD less than a week ago. It’s a second hand.

I got problems after an update where the screen froze. I tried everying people recommended on mobile read and reddit (manuel reset, unplug battery and qd card…) but nothing worked. I understood that the sad card my be corrupted and I straryed to try things on my computer and accidentally formatted it.

Right now i’m a bit panicked because i don’t have any more partitions on the sd card. Is there a way to restore what i’ve done ??? I saw the tutorial to add an image on the sd card (the one for adding Gigabytes) but :
-where do i find this image for my device ? Can someone send it to me since i didn’t make any copy of the original one ?
-can the tutorial work even if i formatted (fat32) the sd card ?

thanks in advance for your help. I’m really sad rn since i was loving using my new kobo.

My Kobo is bricked. I would like the SD image for N236 edition2 V1. 7th character in the SN is "0" so it appears to be a V1.

(I did not use the right tool to copy my SD card before trying to install 3rd party software. The Kobo froze on reboot
