Still browsing Mercadolibre for a suitable card, I think I might just go with the cheapest one I can find even though I like to play a bit on my pc, because my brother said that he might buy me a blackberry phone soon and i´d like to be able to chip in when he does.

Fourth smoke-less day.
I must've gained five pounds (like I need that) and I heard (and made) every possible joke about keeping my mouth busy by sucking at a lollipop.
Now it's just boring and painful, the novelty feeling of "hey, I'm doing something good for myself" has worn out.
But I'll feel better in the end, and I've calculated that I am saving two thousand (Canadian) dollars a year ( ), so I'm daydreaming about trips and adventures across the world...

she has many, many toys. but she's a degenerate appartment cat, and if i'm not throwing the ball / twitching the feather duster / moving my fingers under the quilt / etc. she's not interested. she used to play by herself a bit when she was younger and i keep trying to encourage her to do that again but so far it's not working. i think i'm going to buy her a ridiculously expensive toy called the "catit circuit de jeu senses"



because i'm pretty sure that it's the kind of toy she would like and since 1. you can't lose the bleeding ball under the furniture and 2. once you start it moving it will keep moving even with very little help it should (hopefully) keep her interested.

see, i did tied a cork on the end of a string to the top of a doorframe, but somehow unless i'm there she's just not interested. i hadn't thought of putting catnip in paperbags, usually the bag alone is pretty fascinating, but again she likes it much better if i'm there rustling the side of it with my foot while she tries to catch it from inside.

degenerate, really.

edit : pay no attention to the clearly psychotic kitten in the right of that photo. i am sure that the game will not turn your cat into a demon. of course, if your cat already *is* a demon, it won't cure it, either. probably.

yes !! congratulations ! it's wonderful. try to distract yourself so you stop thinking about it ! and not necessarily with lollipops, i mean maybe watch a film, listen to music, read a book... you can do it !

Other than duct tape, I've got nothing. When Thspud, the Nip Addict wants to be petted, there's nothing for it but to stick your hand out so he can endlessly rub against it and complain that you're not reading his mind. Even if it's three o'farking clock in the morning.

LOL I LOVE the look on that kitten's face. He's like HOLY CRAP BALL!!!!!! I saw those at the pet store the other day, I was thinking about getting one. I think one of the kitty cities has one...

yeah, the kitten in the photo is kind of scary-psychotic looking. my kitten is less scary than that.

holy carp !!!! who has room for one of those things ??? i'd need a whole new appartment just for the cats to put that in !! yeesh ! of course, i bet they'd love it. but they'll just have to make do with the armoire because i bet it also costs a bleeding fortune (space issues aside).

i'm not sure the thing in that photo is quite the same though, the catit circuit is a multi-part tube you can assemble like a toy train track in various configurations, with several cut-out holes in the top, and there's a ball inside that runs along the track back and forth. my cat loves toys which are hidden inside things (bags, under the quilt, etc.) and she loves trying to catch things which are moving so i think she'll like that toy (she better, it costs something like 15€ ). ironically, i'd finally made up my mind and went to the website this morning to order it, and... the site is down for maintenance. of course.

Hang in there! I celebrated my first anniversary as a non-smoking smoker last friday! The good thing is, it DOES get easier, the bad part is, the craving really never goes away fully. There are still days I could easily kill someone for a cigarette. Those are thankfully pretty far between by now

my recommendation to all smokers : "the easy way to stop smoking" by allen carr. it really helps to break down the psychological addiction which is much stronger than the physical one.
