Got no deeds to do,
No promises to keep.
I'm dappled and drowsy and ready to sleep.
Let the morning time drop all its petals on me.
Life, I love you,
All is groovy.

Good morning, everyone! Another wonderful day, beginning with a cup of Yorkshire tea and a bowl of tabuli! I wonder what today will bring?

Not only will you save cash, but you get to join in with the rest of us low-brows who prefer taste regardless of class. I spoke of it when talking about prefering $4 lumpfish caviar over fancy Beluga, Astra talked about liking his newer pu-erh over some of the more aged vintages, and KK prefers almond extract over fine wine. When we go motorcycle touring in the Alps, we are usually lost for most of the day since the border crossings are no longer there to tell us where we are. Passo San Bernadino, Passo Stelvio, Furka, Sass-Fee.... we travel around and around in big circles, usually unaware of exactly where we are at any given moment, just enjoying the roads over the high passes. Those hair-pin curves are exhilarating at faster speeds! If we get curious about where we are, we stop in a souvenir shop and look at the back of a postcard. Then we see a sign for another pass and head off that way! France, Italy, Austria, Germany, Switzerland... Makes no difference where we go! It's the path, not the destination.

Your wife, she looks like a good wife. Congratulations! Happy anniversary!
Thank you, yes... she's a keeper! I played for 17 years after separating from my second wife, never planning to marry again, quite happy with my free wheeling bachelorhood. Then I met her. In three days I knew... KNEW... that I would marry her! That was 18 years ago.

And on to my next cup of tea... This time... East India Company's 'Royal Breakfast!'

I was just looking how the people in Abu Dhabi drink their coffee and they all make the coffee really strong like no need for a cup strength with grinds floating in it, someone who went there told me that when he asked for some filtered coffee the guy said "ahhhh yes yes American coffee nescafe" apparently you can't get real filtered coffee there. So if you go there remember some good coffee. LOL

LOL! We met a young fellow on a ferry off the coast of Malaysia who referred to 'Nescafe' as "Prisoner Coffee!" He said in his country ( I forget which that was,) Nescafe was the brand served in all the jails!

Have I mentioned to you how much I enjoy your morning music? Only a couple of times have I failed to identify the song, so I guess we know a lot of the same music. This selection left me feelin' groovy!

Thanks!
I always seem to have music going round and round in my head. I wake up with a song playing inside my mind. Maybe it's because I've been playing guitar since I was 11. Or maybe I've been playing guitar since I was 11 because I always have music going on in my head. I don't know...

When I walk, I'm usually whistling. When I'm on a bus or a train, there are songs going on in my head. I never use an iPod. It gets in the way.

But... all my music stops in the early '80's. I guess I'm old.

(the cups are small already - teacup size)

hehe, same here in Vietnam we drink a kind of coffee that's much stronger than Starbuck's or Nescafé! So strong that we rarely drink it black, often have it stirred with sweetened condensed milk and ice. I still remember the first time I drank Nescafé, 'What? They call this coffee??' Every foreigner is a bit shocked when drink our coffee. And the 'strong' coffee costs much less than Starbuck or Gloria Jean's: 25 cents per glass

Well, my NBT order just arrived! I must compliment this company on their speed of customer service! It seems as if it were only last week that I place the order, and today I have 20 odd packets of teas to sample! I'm impressed!

My first experiment has been with the tea that originally caused me to place the order;
... "Georgian Old Gentleman." Loose leaf tea

For the first cup I followed the company's directions for a single cup of tea. For the second, I more than doubled the amount of leaves and gave it considerably longer steeping time. It's a very large leaf tea so I made sure to brew it using extra large infusers to give the leaves room to expand. I don't think they expanded enough...

Sorry to say, I'm not impressed. While it's a mellow tea, and very smooth, it suffers from a lack of depth. It's as if it doesn't touch the tongue. It reminds me of tea that would be served in a family restaurant when the waiter can find a tea bag in the back of a drawer somewhere. It's the right color, and I'm sure it's tea, but it's not a tea that I would want to purchase. I have enough left for one more mug, so I will try again in a couple of weeks. Perhaps a different day might help. Maybe this tea doesn't work on Tuesdays?

Yes, stichawl, I also love you for your cheery music in the morning. I often wake up with a
