How about shutting this down?

It's pretty clear now that terrazoids is just playing with us - nobody's that stupidly intransigent!

I have a humble suggestion - how about everybody just stops posting to this thread? Let him talk to himself (and his god, of course). And apologies to the OP, but it's not like this thread is going anywhere other than in circles anymore.

That's what I intend to do. Of course, if you're enjoying the 'discussion' as much as terrazoids obviously is, please feel free to ignore this suggestion.

But, with the greatest respect, tz, what sort of an example are you setting? As you say, I'm a scientist. Science works by putting forward a theory, and then performing experiments to validate or disprove that theory. What evidence do you have to convince me, as a scientist, that your God exists?
1) That is just so amusing. I just love this film, The Enigma of Kaspar Hauser... At the end to cut the story short. Kaspar dies after a tragic life, and this little fellow comes out after having opened his head and seen what he perceives to be abnormalities in the brain. "Ah yes, I'm satisfied. That explains why he behaved the way he did."

2) I can only point the way. If God wishes to reveal himself scientifically to you, he will. Hey why not try asking him? Aloud sometime. See what happens.

Please prove this and try not to get confused with beliefs.

PS The great thing about this thread is that the more people read it then the more people will be put off religion for life!

Gods are like football teams; they all have their supporters, and who's to say that one is better than another? You're saying "only my team is real, and if you believe in a different one, you're delusional". Personally, I don't like football and don't support any of the teams. Is that wrong too?

A little tolerance would go a long way.
If you think Christianity is intolerant, try Islam. They don't just "beat up on people who believe in a different god", they KILL them!

330 million according to Wiki (which perhaps with a touch of irony says "not all of which can be listed").

Feri is *all about* getting in touch with gods. Sometimes intimately. If YHVH wants into the mix, he's welcome to take a number.

I might, depending on what evidence he provided. I doubt it, though. But then, I doubt he'd try to tell me he was Santa Claus. Why should I believe someone's sworn enemies about his nature? Why not listen to him, and decide for myself who I think is lying or mistaken?

This is the key point in this whole thread: Why should anyone decide that *your* interpretation of reality is better than their own?

Do you think it's likely, based on this thread?

This is one of the things I always wonder about--do Christians who argue with atheists online actually think they're *helping* anyone? Do they think anyone is convinced because of their discussions?

Would your god be just as pleased if a couple of agnostics decided they really hated Christianity, on the basis of how you acted in this thread?
1) Well of course morality can only be Christian because it is of God so yeah I guess if you're not Christian then morality doesn't apply to you or only some kind of perversion of it.
2) By all means... get in touch with Jesus.. (Hes gonna rock your world!)
3) Oh dear. Satan is known as the Great Deceiver. Never listen to him. Its a one way track downtown.
4)People shouldn't decide they need to investigate based on my good word
5) Well at least I tried. God aint gonna fault me for that!

Perhaps you'd be good enough to quote which surah of the Koran states this? My reading of the Koran tells me that Islam teaches Muslims to be tolerant of the other "people of the book" (that is Jews and Christians) because all worship the same God. I do have to ask whether you've actually read the Koran?

You know I disagree with you there. I think some folks might just be moved by the idea of one simple man standing up against a tide of oppression.

Yeah thats the nice thing about Muslims. At least theres no conflict about God... and WHO he is, as we're suffering from on this thread. I do have some issues with Jihad and also the Koran being the actual word of God though.

Explain that to the three thousand people who died in 2001.

People is aggressive because you are aggressive in your posts.
Things like "Meditation, what a waste of time!", "Chinese, they have it ALL wrong!" and "I have a definition for you: Satanist!" is called being aggressive. So, expect aggressive reactions.

I don't think those are aggressive things to say. They're just observations.

Oh yeah,.. but how about..."You're insane."... "Lets show him some pictures of little boys" .... "Freakazoids" "obviously illiterate"... "go read some more books"..... Just a sample of comments directed my way
