We have cords ranging from 2 meters to 8 meters. Most are about 4 meters.

Yes, it's a better solution, but costly in comparison to cables. Instead I use a cheap Android based attachement, operating on KODI software to connect my TV to home WiFi network. It also streams the stuff quite smoothly, as smooth as my wins

I got it. So, the little gadget I described above converts a plain tv to a smart tv, and thus the streaming is done. Not very smart of me however..
