well we had a hell of a storm blow through a little after 5 last night. lost power until just a little while ago (it's almost 2). got up to deal with some stock I was cooking and will try to get some more zzzz's. it's still raining reasonably hard, 'droid says it's 42. meh

60's again today...much of the snow has melted....rest will mostly go today I think....

Mini cold front went through last night. Today will top out in the 50's F. Then back into the 60's -- with 79 F predicted for Friday!!! If we make it into the 80's F -- we'll be in the record books for February!

I really should learn Fahrenheit conversions. I never could get used to Imperial units. Inches, feet and yards and pounds I'm sort of o.k. with, but liquid measurements leave me with a headache! Does anyone here get confused when us metric users mention Celsius grades?

I stay confused with the Celsius temps!

Sometimes I take the time to look at a conversion chart, but most of the time I just carry on...

Not really, although sometimes when I post, I'll use the calculator function to convert from one to the other for the benefit of the civilized world that uses Celsius scale. The formula is pretty well implanted in my head.

The Celsius scale makes more sense than the Fahrenheit scale. Zero = freezing, 100 = the boiling point of water at sea level. What could be simpler? I'm sure we'll adopt that system of measurement soon in this country; right after we convert to the metric system, and just before pigs fly.
