A trad pubbed series doesn't usually last as long as this one by being crap, but I haven't read them yet (although I plan to).

Alanna Knight was awarded an MBE (a British order of chivalry) for "Services to Literature", so presumably someone at least regards her as a decent writer.

I've read the first three of the Maggie Sullivan books, and was waiting for the new 4th book to be cheaper. Well, today it's down to $0.99 from the normal $3.99. They are set in 1939 or so, and rather fun.

I noticed that there is an omnibus with the first three titles in Andrea Camilleri's wonderful Inspector Montalbano series on sale at Amazon UK for £1.39. I think it's part of the Autumn Sale ending Nov 9. If you haven't read this police procedural series set in Sicily, this would be a great way to try it out.

Flat Crazy by Ben Rehder is at $0.99 for about 5 1/2 more days. All of these titles were on Countdown a while back at the same time - looks as if he might be cycling through them now, so if you want these but missed them before, you might keep an eye out.
