Not sure but you do have different cases in use; change the driver setting to #pages from #Pages and see if that helps

Yeap, that did! I had no idea Calibre settings were case sensitive! Thank you!

The plugin is excellent. It helps me see which book to give my kids to read based on the stats. But can we store these stats like the page count? Can we store number of complex words, syllables, number of sentence etc?

Thanks

Lines: 8562 Divs: 4 Paras: 1716
Results of NLTK text analysis:
Number of characters: 411529
Number of words: 93500
Number of sentences: 6503
Number of syllables: 112700
Number of complex words: 8901
Average words per sentence: 14

CP has not changed in a while and has worked for me (I use the Adobe type count) thru many updates.
NB I run Calibre 2.0 on XP and 2.20 on W7. The results are consistent

Sorry, just a question: this plugin can determine only the total page number, or can identify what page have your read (using the % of read )?

thanks

No, it is only calculating the total size of the book.

But, as you have a Kobo Glo HD, you can try my Kobo Utilities plugin. It can fetch the current reading position from the device including the percent read. Plus lots of other things.

Beyond getting the reading status of your books from you Kobo ereader? Lots of things. I would suggest reading the first post of the plugins thread to get an idea.

I'M BLIND ..... ;-)

Just another question. Now I understood how "find" the total page number, is there a way to get the page number you are reading? Without connect Kobo device?

Sometimes I read both on calibre (PC) and on ereader.
If kobo (I use at home) tells I'm at 33%, If I "write" (manually or in automatic) 33% somewhere in calibre (without connect kobo) is there a way to understand "if I would be reading a paper book, I would be at page 114) ?

numbers are axample ....

thanks

Thanks

Unfortunately, the page numbering algorithms are different between the Kobo devices and the calibre viewer. For epubs, Kobo uses the Adobe RMSDK and its page numbering. The calibre viewer uses something else. I'm sure I have seen the calibre algorithm, but I don't remember what it is and or how to convert the numbers. Personally, when I do this, I do a search for some text to get me close to where I was up to.

Hi, I have experienced sometimes a remarkable decrease of the speed of book processing by the valuable Page Count, maybe due to the (attempt to) process of old DJVU books of mine. Anyway, as regards those latter, the result is always wrong and I have eventually to replace results by hand.
Could you please provide a simple routine which skips at all any DJVU book?
Thanks for the attention and in advance for possible new releases of the plug-in

I suspect you are chasing ghosts. Count pages does not do DJVU (or very many other file typed).
I use the ADE estimate: It requires EPUB

You Anti-virus may be the culprit. Exclude the Library. In most cases, books came in via a folder that IS scanned and books are not a usual target for system resident malware

This plugin is great. I had tested it before but I obviously didn't set it right (looking back the pages column was probably getting the word count value). I read exclusivly on ereaders now so this information is actually more accurate to me than a physical book's page count since this one is calculated in a standard way for all the books in my library.

It's a shame that the page information can't be sent to the kindle via the amazon conversion service. This isn't a complain, I know this scapes your control.

I do want to ask, is there a way to count pages automatically after adding a book to the library?
