A mild day today. Sunny, 27C/80.6F, down to 60% humidity, and just nice for an afternoon swim down at the millpond that is Noosa Main Beach at the moment (i.e. there is no, real swell - about 60cm/2' at the most), followed by a bit of sunbaking bus-stop. [Licks shoulder] Mmm, salty.

Sweetpea; I'm at the other end of the same tiny country and we've had weeks and weeks of snow. It was nice.......the first few days.

We ended up with about 3 inches on the grass and porch, but the roads stayed clear. It was pretty, with big heavy wet flakes. I woke up at dawn to turn on the heat, and the new snow was glowing in the early gray light. So pretty thay i grabbed my camera. I'll post the pics later.

Not citrus here. In Alabama, these early spring cold snaps wreak havoc on the peach crop. Yes, this is early spring, because the daffodils are ready to bloom.

Not citrus here. In Alabama, these early spring cold snaps wreak havoc on the peach crop. Yes, this is early spring, because the daffodils are ready to bloom.
yeah, but this isn't quite a cold snap is it? it's not cold enough for the sap in the trees to be freezing, and nothing is fruiting as yet, let alone probably barely leafing out?

I would estimate we got two inches of snow overnight, but the sun is out, and it seems to be rapidly melting, even though the current temperature is right at the freezing mark. Saturday is predicted to be in the 50s (F), so I don't anticipate it will be hanging around long.
