No you're entirely wrong I do want to have a serious conversation but I'm not directing where it goes. I think the OP of this thread was worth talking about and thats the main point. It almost became serious a few pages back, and we started to get into interesting ground.

I don't agree, I've tried to be direct with answers even sometimes resorting to very clear yes or no. I'm just curious as to when people are going to stop vilifying me and get back to this discussion about atheism.

I am not particularly concerned with what Christians think Satanists are. Since I don't think Christians are right about the nature of gods, creation, or morality, I certainly don't think they're right about satan.

3) Do you really think this is how your god wants you to be witnessing? Do you think it's convincing anyone, or are you just enjoying wallowing in the feeling that you're right and other people are wrong and eventually, they'll be punished for making you feel inadequate in a debate?

We were discussing atheism, tz, when you arrived on the scene and started telling everyone that they'd suffer eternal damnation if they didn't accept your personal choice of deity. Then, when asked why they should do this, you were unable to provide a satisfactory answer, and moreover, started claiming that your personal deity was the ONLY deity around. ie, every other religion is "wrong" and only you knew "the truth". Is it really that surprising that some people find this attitude a little narrow-minded?

Setting aside that there is evidence... belief in something without evidence is irrational, not necessarily insane. Insanity requires actions. (More substantial actions than "telling people that something exists when it doesn't.")

Also, in these discussions, it's important to define your terms when making absolute statements. By "gods," do you mean "all-powerful creators of universes?" Or "disembodied entities who interfere with human society?" Or something else?

Whether or not there is evidence for dragons depends on what you mean by "dragons." I'm quite fond of dragons and other monitors.

Yeah that sounds about right... However of course I'm going to come down hard on stuff outside of my faith. You know, there is only God. I didn't make this up eternal damnations a real eventuality. People are super aggressive and its possible to gently explore these issues. Going through the posts I was more interested when I actually got the chance to answer some of the .. finer points.
