My US Kindle Paperwhite 7th generation white WIFI+3G (updated description) is not on the list of supported models. Its serial number starts with G090KF, is it supported by the jailbreak provided here?

It will be, subscribe to NiLuJe's "snapshots" thread, those things (which includes the 'hotfix') have to be updated for your model.
That will give you an e-mail notice when the update notice is posted to that thread.
The subscription control is in the "thread Tools" drop-down box.

We need a bit more information for the table:
PW-3, Wifi+3G, White - We got that part, if you would tell us:
Country sold in, country delivered to

My PW3 is jailbroken via the 5.6.5 method. Is there any difference or advantage to using the new jailbreak?

Also, if for some reason my Kindle ever needs to be factory reset what would I need to do restore the jailbreak? Would I just use the new method or does the jailbreak survive the reset and I would just need to reinstall the hotfix? If I use the new method is it necessary for me to disable special offers? Lastly, does a factory reset revert back to the factory firmware version or would it go straight to what I’m using now (5.7.4.1). Thanks.

Your jailbreak should be fine now.
If you ever factory reset, you will need to follow all the instructions in the first post.
If your PW3 upgrades, you will need to apply the hotfix and any hacks you installed but the jailbreak will survive.

The contents of the 'hotfix' has changed.
It now includes the MrPI searchbar command.
If you want that, just re-install the current hotfix.

NEVER DO A FACTORY RESET

Only the signature certificate survives, you wipe everything else that you have added.

Only if you want to be able to recover the device in case it boot-loops during the downgrade.
If that happens with S.O. still enabled, you can always recover it by using the serial port.
