Thank you very much.
The correct word in english is probably to exchange title and author?
I can do this with a mouse-click after pressing E, but i would like to do it in the big view with all books.

To manage a smaller library is a really good idea, thank you.
I will use three of them Cache, Work, Final.

ah-ha - you can swap them en-masse in bulk metadata edit.

You could make a formal request for an enhancement here Bugs : calibre. Maybe Ctrl+F2, Shift+F2 already has a special purpose for the Tag's column.

Not a real idea about plugin, but..
Can you please add the possibility to sort by most installed?

There is no feedback from Get Plugins, so there is no way to count.

Even then, Installed vs frequently used

Me (frequently):
<various (alternate) metadata source PI>
Quality Check
Open With
Modify Epub
Search the Internet

A number of others, occasionally

@Ansem_93 - you can probably get a rough idea from subforum view and post counts

Puzzled as to why you'd want to know. In general the PI's provide non-overlapping functional capabilities. Example : if you want to remove the covers and non-dc metadata then the only place you'll find that functionality is in the Modify PI.

Metadata download PIs might be the exception - based on personal preference of source - eg amazon better than b&n better than google.

There is a stats page for the plugins at http://plugins.calibre-ebook.com/. That has the number of times the plugin has been downloaded by calibre for an installation since, I think, April last year. It doesn't distinguish versions, so each time a plugin is updated, it adds to the count.

I think a really good plugin would be one for Kindles to clean up the leftover directories/files left over after having deleting eBooks.

The Quality Check PI already has that for RMSDK EPUB (At least, I assumed that was all Kiwidude included when I requested it a long while back)

What option is it in Quality Check PI that allows it to clean up ePub leftovers on a Reader?

If you delete the books via calibre, those are automatically deleted.
Anyone who would use the plugin could also just, um, manage their books via calibre.

I don't see that option. All I see that's close under fix is Cleanup .opf files/folders. Is that the same thing?

But the reason for the plugin that I mentioned would be to clean up a Kindle that's had eBooks deleted via the UI so it would sort out the remaining mess.

Question: Why the need? DO you have a Kindle that is in that state and needs fixing? DO you know someone else in that situation?

If there is no need, there will be no plugin.
I am still trying to figure out why you feel the need.

(And FTR, I would prefer the "mess" stayed on the Kindle. Amazon's reason for leaving it is so you can re-add the book and retain the annotations etc. -- something I feel is a good thing. No one is running out of storage space those files are tiny.

Spoken as an actual owner and user of a Kindle.)
