Judging from the couple of hundred posts of freakazoid's I saw before I put him on ignore, I think it is safe to say that he isn't actually "stupid"-- or lying. I think that there is a very strong case for the other choice.

My, that's getting personal. Short answer: Yes. For many people. And in a different way, for things that aren't people.

I'm willing to provide evidence of this, but before I spend any time scrounging up links or other data, I'd like to know what you'd consider evidence or proof that I'm capable of love. I'm not going to waste my time if you've already decided that whatever I feel, it can't possibly be "real love" because it doesn't have Jesus in the middle somewhere.

If so how do you reconcile it with your idea that you'll only act in self interest. Sounds like a pretty selfish kind of love if you ask me.

Actually thats an interesting point... all too often today people tend to view lovers as interchangeable and commodities. If dissatisfied with this lover why not just change for a new one that suits you better. This isn't real love.

My marriage is at 10 years (plus three more of living together) and doing fine. How long do I have to stick with a lover to have you consider it "real love?"

Yeah because its a value judgement too. You call me insane, it implies that you believe you are not and so look down on me. Of course the opposite could be true. In this thread you've asked the same question over and over even when it was answered unable to find a way to go forward... I'd say thats a pretty good definition of insanity right there. hmmm what did Einstein say about that...?
