Keep in mind, you must not have both KSO's on the same account at the time a coupon is claimed - otherwise, ALL the serial #'s on the account at the time are registered with a single coupon code. Move the KSO later to another account and you get the same code (can anyone guess WHY they had to do this? seem obvious, once you find out people were selling codes on ebay).

The best thing to do is keep it registered on her account, only move to your account to get a book she wants, then move it back (so you don't forget). She can still do library books on her own, even gift the books she buys to your account with the codes (from what I understand; I haven't tried it, but others have). But, sharing books gets a bit harder.

It's the only method of parental controls, so those with kids are no doubt doing it constantly. I've never heard of Amazon caring, one way or another.

Darn, I wonder if that includes the one with the light. I just ordered one with a light (even though its out of stock.) If the SO popped up on my kindle I'd cancel the order and then reorder, but I tried opening and closing it several times and it scrolls through about 6 different offers, then starts over on those. Do they change everyday? What can I do to get the cover special offer to pop up?

No it's the same offer from two weeks ago. It's just some didn't get this one they got for Kindle Keyboard. I was upset and contacted Support 3 times and got them to honor the Keyboard one for this offer and then this shows up.

I am think alot of people did that so they fixed it so everyone can be happy.

I suspect another one will show up after the Touch is released for those covers. However most of the covers in this offer will fit it as well.

I swear, these offers are really going downhill. There are way too many 30% and 40% offers, and very few 50% offers. On top of that, Amazon won't allow coupon stacking anymore.

Then to add insult to injury, Amazon is now punishing owners of multiple Special Offer Kindle's by restricting the offers to one offer per account; no matter how many they own.

I plan on getting the Touch and will keep my KSO. Since only one of them will be eligible for the offers, I'll root the KSO to remove the ads. There's no point in getting offers they refuse to honor.

Not only did I get it (already auto-downloaded to my Kindle), but the invoice price went from the original $1 sale price, to 69 cents shortly after I placed the original order (Oct. 24th), and now is at 26 cents.

The current selling price for the Kindle version ($13.88) is lower than it was when I placed the pre-order (it was about $14.50 or so then, I think), so I'm thinking their computer lowered my invoice by the amount of the reduction of the normal selling price.

And the offers may improve again. There were some great ones before I got my KSO then I got mine and they were all unimpressive for awhile, then there were some more good ones. I bet we'll get some good ones again in time for holiday shopping.
