Agreed - and agree with the approach too. I've noticed that books concentrate more on giving me false leads than correct ones these days. It's a bit of fun. Although I don't actively try to be in group 1, sometimes I can subconsciously be a member of the group while reading.

Hello there
Is there anything you'd like to ask an award-winning, British, female, humorous fantasy author? Blimey that was a bit of a mouthful wasn't it? If there is, though, and if you're a member of Goodreads you can talk to one right NOW in the current online interview thread at the Writers and Readers group. To be honest I'm not sure if any of you will have heard of or read my books - I sell way more of them in the UK than here - but I thought I'd let you know anyway. However, if you'd like to pop over ask a question, say hello and generally hang out, you are more than welcome. The interview will be live for the next 24 hours or so... although because I'm in the UK, I'll disappear quite early your time tomorrow but if they'll let me, I'll definitely answer any late night questions from Sunday when I get up on Monday morning. Anyway, if you are a member of Goodreads and you feel like having a look, you can find it here just join the group, doesn't take a minute and you can pick my brains to your heart's content. Ah yes and many, many apologies if I've posted this in the wrong place. Cheers MTM |

IS TIME TRAVEL FINALLY POSSIBLE? A NEW SERIES OF TRAVEL BOOKS SAY YES.
]
We are pleased to announce the launch of a completely new concept in Travel Guides. The revolution in eBook self-publishing looks set to create another new phenomenon. A 72 year old retired History teacher, James Shaw, has spent three years mapping the world and is on course to create 50 eBooks and a smartphone app. So no matter where you go - Time Travel will find you the Perfect Bitesize essay, letter, diary entry, film script, recipe, short story or article. So WHATEVER you're interested in ... from History, Art, Science and Philosophy to Sport, Ghost Stories, Mysteries and Legends... And WHEREVER you are, Time Travel Guides aim to be the perfect companion. In a cafe in Paris? Why not read a witty essay by Mark Twain on what he thought of French women, or a letter from Gustave Eiffel describing his new idea for a tower... On a trip to Washington? why not hear from the very man himself and have a peak into George Washington's diary - see what he sees as the future of the United States. Or maybe read J F Kennedy’s inauguration speech. Find yourself in Hollywood? Why not read the first film script - you'll be surprised how short it is - or how about some love letters from Howard Hughes to Katharine Hepburn? If you're sitting in a garden in Florence you can read what Leonardo Da Vinci thought about the meaning of life - all in his own words! That's the beauty about this series - it doesn't tell you what to think about Da Vinci, it gives you his actual words - carefully selected to leave out the boring bits. So you can read direct from Da Vinci: How to Live Longer and How to Die Happy. He even tells you why the Sky is Blue and his prophecies for the future. There's a whole of series eBooks – starting from just $2.99 - so you can be just about anywhere in the world and there'll be some magical piece of writing that would be perfect to read while you sit back and sip your cappuccino. You're in park by the Champs Elysees in Paris? Why not read one of Napoleon's letters to Josephine, and see why he loved her above all the others. You're in Berlin? How about reading one of Hitler's speeches - to understand just how he managed to beguile a nation and commit such horrors. At the Tower of London? How about a confession from Captain Blood, explaining exactly how he stole the Crown Jewels? Or read Churchill's description of the tower during the blitz. At the Pyramids in Egypt? then what about reading the Egyptian Book of the Dead? or a letter from Napoleon describing what happened when he slept overnight in the Chamber of Khufu... On a visit to the Scottish Highlands? Why not read George Spicer's sighting of the Loch Ness Monster - and see if you can spot any flaws in his story. In Nepal? why not read the diary of the world’s most infamous yeti-hunter. You get the idea… hope you enjoy. Last edited by Dr. Drib; 04-23-2012 at 02:39 PM. |

Creating Table of Contents is a daunting task for Smashwords and Amazon. So I wrote up a step by step tutorial to create one in Microsoft Word, with images. I hope this helps.

It's horror time again. I've just posted my latest review which is for Scott Nicholson's Speed Dating with the Dead.
Roll up, roll up - the White Horse Inn is the big tent and she's raising Hell. http://papyrus.calebblake.net/2012/0...ott-nicholson/ |

New Website and Blog
I've been migrating my blog and website over to Wordpress. It's still a WIP, but the move is now 'official.'
My website URL is still http://terryodell.com but the look is brand new. There's a link to my new blog on that page, or you can go directly there via http://terryodell.com/terrysplace. |
